The Presidential pardon power isn't limited by a law. It's absolute. This is clearly a separation of powers issue that Congress cannot limit with a law.

Yes, and what about the Chief of Staff pardon power? Biden didn't sign himself and he wasn't even there when the autopen signed it. So, who authorized it to be signed? That is the question.

I worked with a guy who had $180,000 in his TSP when Trump started his last term and by the end of his last term my co-worker had $680,000 in his TSP! He put all of his money in the S fund and it really paid off under Trump. I wasn't willing to put all of my eggs in one basket but still made wonderful gains under Trump. (y)

Once again, there is no requirement to "sign." The announcement in the press conference was sufficient to pardon. The Constitution doesn't specify how the pardons must be done, and Congress can't force any requirements (e.g. sign a paper document) on the Executive. The fact that there are signed pardons doesn't mean they are required.

Sure, a Prison warden will release a prisoner because he heard someone say there was a press conference. Your credibility just hit 0, the only way to recharge that is with a government law that says what you just said. Also, why not include the law that says the President is allowed to pardon people for future crimes they might commit or be charged with as well as past crimes.

Of course this power is limited: to that of the President himself.
Not his staffers running the autopen.

Bribem was not of sound mind thru any of this BTW.

So not just anyone in the Whitehouse with a bag of white powder can issue a pardon. But what about the pardon itself, can they issue golden pardons to be used at ant time in the future?

He was clear and lucid in the press conference he gave announcing the pardons, including details. There were certainly times when he wasn't, this just isn't one of them.
