You say that it all applies to us, but when Jesus said you must be perfect, as perfect as the Father in Heaven, you want to discount it and make it mean "just do your best". Doing your best is a program for failure.
No, he doesn't agree with the teachings of free grace doctrine, which is based on a careless interpretation of scripture, that later was morphed by Prince and others into hyper-grace, which is a total abomination that redefines and twists numerous biblical words and concepts, and tries to eliminate the authority of some of Jesus' words (among other things as well).

Just to note.
I have been to alot of churches all over the united states (being military you travel alot) I have never heard a grace preacher, or follower say we should not go to God and confess our sins.
Most of the retoric of grace teaches this comes from people who do not understand it, Not from them themselves.
Everyone there is no point in attacking each other, we all are lacking in some way or form I am just as guilty as nikki or anyone else of doing these things sometimes but my heart wasn't changed with a heated debate my heart was changed because of the kindness and the love and patience that was shown to me.
Our job isn't to prove our doctrines and views and beliefs correct besides no one has every view and doctrine and belief correct, how is the heart of God who he is going to shine if we only bicker and debate? Jesus said we are the salt and light of the world now ask yourselves are you shining his light?

It is one thing to get into a heated debate, we may even slip and call someone something out of anger,,
It is another to call people every name in the book in almost every post you make. to refuse to answer peoples questions, but keep attacking with non provoked nger and name calling or strawmen arguments.
The holy spirit is gentle and meek. In terms of obedience to GOD, the spirit doesn't force anyone to do anything against their will. So it all boils down to what a person chooses to do.

True he has called everyone horrible thins he treated others harshly as did all of us to each other Jesus was treated worse was called even worse things but how did he respond? True he rebuked the pharisee's a couple times but for the most part he responded in kindenss patience was calm exactly as still waters.
how we respond and react to such a harsh treatment decides more than we know. every word every action is like a pebble falling in a puddle of water it creates ripples starting our small but increasing in size affect people and lives. but the kind of ripple that is made is up to us

Sometimes you hear certain ones say " We must obey God.."...a very true saying...what they mean and what the grace of Christ means in the New Covenant are entirely different things.
They will say " You have to keep "yourself" holy "....to be holy in our outward behavior is what the Lord wants but the "works-based" people say that "they" are doing it.
Grace believers say that the Life of Christ in them is doing the transforming by the Holy Spirit.,,,one is relying on "themselves" ....the other is relying on the life of Christ in them.
The self-righteous saying that " They keep themselves holy"...They can be filled with malice and slander towards some one in the body of Christ and in reality the are the same as people practicing homosexuality. We see this in certain ones here on CC
They are both works of the flesh. But to the legalists - they are "holier" and "abiding in Christ"..while the practicing homosexual is cursed....these are the true hypocrites....denying the Lord and Master to do their own works of righteousness while condemning every one else.......it's the nature of the beast...

Jesus didn't ignore those who attacked him I believe his words were Father forgive them. What he is worthy of is not our decision that is God's

The theology is about future sin is not forgiven, we are expected empowered by the cross to walk in righteousness.
Now I do not mind what you choose to take as your theology or method of belief, but to say I am evil, unsaved, in need of repentance, when I am following Jesus's words, that is wrong. It is condemnation and judgementalism.
So though hyper-grace appears to be doing people a service in emphasising the loving nature of God, the sting in the tail is to say normal christians do not have the gospel at all. So this doctinal view is speading hatred and condemnation. If you dare to question their position rather than comparing points of view, they put their perspective as the only one.
As has been pointed out by many this is typical of cultists and the brainwashed. They continually claim they have had their mind changed, rather than the only way to resolve their behaviour with their beliefs is to take this odd theology. Emotions are powerful things, and willfully blind a person who wants to run away from a difficult problem.
That is one of the straw-man arguments that they put up...it's a complete deception. We all say that the true grace of God teaches us to live godly in this present world..but it is still being thrown around as if it's true...it's very deceptive and reveals where that antagonism comes from...
