Hebrews ch10-26-29 yes we believers can not live a sinless life that's what repentance is for but if a believer willfully sins and gets intangled in his sin an is over come by it an does not repent and turn from his wicked ways "there remains no more sacrifice for sins" Hebrews ch6-vs 4 "FOR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and were MADE PARTAKERS of the holy ghost and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come, If (THEY)<referring to believers) shall fall away, and renew them unto repentance; seeing as they crucify to themselves the son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.- but to avoid this you must show diligence<(persevere) to the full ASSURANCE of hope <(salvation) unto thee end.

im going to have to toss back your own contextual idea and have you read Acts ch4 vs 32-ch5-11 cuz if your disputing Ananias and Sapphira they are included in the multitude of them that believed and were of "one heart" and of "one soul"(referring to unity in the spirit) an it goes on to say and great grace was upon them all...(so this multitude wernt just ppl who believed but possessed Gods "great grace" it just so happened that these two owned some land and sin entered their thoughts and they conspired together in greed and lied to the holy Ghost it says (for if you think about a unsaved person cant lie to a spirit for which he has not received nor has a relationship with just saying so they were counted as part of the multitude) an after peters divine spiritual (heads up-if you will) (basically saying here is the spirit is saying hey peter he just lied to me an you about this property and his wife knows about it an they are trying to just look good in front of everyone they were prideful an wanted to look like great givers an God killed them an took their spirit away on the spot as he dropped dead an the same for his wife... so yes they lost their salvation so you cant say they wernt saved cuz it clearly says they were apart of the multitude of those who believed an possessed Gods "great grace" meaning their was unity in the spirit in this multitude.(so in conclusion Christ repo-ed their grace he paid for with his blood due to them lying on their credit application...) so heres your biblical example of someone loosing their salvation.

Hebrews 10 is talking about the Jews after receiving the "knowledge " of the Truth , choosing to go still to the temple for the sacrifices for their sins and not rely on Christ. There is a difference between receiving the "knowledge" of the Truth and receiving the Truth..

Oh boy! Because twice wasn't enough to dust this off yet again. (A full year of just this stuff when I came on this site, and yet, STILL, everyone thinks they have something new to add without reading if it's already been added yet.)
ONCE saved, ALWAYS saved. It's ludicrous to think that every time we sin, we have to get saved time and time again. Jesus died only ONCE. Therefore, WE are saved ONCE and ONCE ONLY.

Apparently, the only people who think like this are OSASers. I haven't heard of this concept coming from those who deny OSAS.
That's because they have not faced the logic of their own argument.

umm I think doctrine of the devil is over doing it. even if it isn't what one believes the term doctrine of the devil is used to freely. Personally I am not quite sure on the whole osas thing. I mean when one makes a very deep and very intimate bond and love with God and you only fall more in love with him as time goes on I cannot imagine such a love would fall.
But at the same time I can easily see how doubts and the thing of this world can distract us and take our focus again. Even I have have my heart tried in this way, just recently actually. I was very addicted to this fun game for a long time I could barely get myself to stop playing it I pulled all nighters playing which if you know me then you would know that is not normal for me I NEED my sleep lol.
I was actually very afraid I feared that it might make me lose my focus on God I wanted to stop I wanted to never play it again but I couldn't stop going back to it. The chains and the power this game seemed to have me was terrifying and of course good old satan saw his chance and put all kinds of doubts and fears in me. I think though what saved me was I accepted as of right now i am unable to stop playing it however I decided to trust God I said to myself God has a plan I think he intends to use this.
After coming out of that storm after sooo long I noticed a huge difference in my faith, somehow I was much closer to God than I ever was from that storm.
But I am not unaware the dangers of what this world can do, satan is not dumb he uses our greatest enjoyments to turn them into our worst nightmares, the opposite of God.

I simply don't understand how OSASers can frame the discussion in these terms. They are the only ones who think like this. A person is saved until GOD cuts them off for good. There is no going back after that.

Now I don't know the truth about being osas as I have not yet gained understanding on that subject yet, however I am open to teaching I cannot allow my heart to be stubborn in what I think is the truth. I have seen and discussed this subject countless times but I still do not know the answer for sure and honestly I think only God himself can teach it to me. I have found that if I don't understand the truth about something if I move on and just keep seeking him then the truth of that matter just somehow appears
Once a person is saved, God does NOT "cut them off". That would require us to get saved all over again, and Jesus only saves us once. Not a million times. Otherwise his death at the cross would be a daily occurrence. Once you are saved, you're saved for life.

There are those who have not yet had this discussion among other followers (like me, today was the first day I took part in this conversation on another osas thread : p) So its good to let them talk with other Christians to gain a better understanding.
I learned alot about it today, actually. I have found that I actually agree with alot of things with some people who claim to be a part of this idea. And I learned that theres a few things I dont agree with that make me uncomfortable, too : p So Im glad I had the chance to take part in the conversation.
Many teach ongoing sin cannot effect your eternal security, this is totally false doctrine as Jesus shows here in John 8:33-36 "They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?[SUP]34 [/SUP]Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
