“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭

“The law and the prophets were until John: ( ot )

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, ( nt ) and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬

“Now after that John was put in prison,
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah (chapter 61) . And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, (isaiah 61:1) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:17-19, 21, 43‬

the king

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”( he was preaching the kingdom )
‭‭John‬ ‭18:36-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭

It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:30-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:1-2, 6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;

and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.( the king over all the kingdom )

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I ( the king ) have commanded you:

and, lo, I am with you ( his spirit ) alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And they went forth, and preached every where,

the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. …how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord,( the king )

and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;( his apostles and chosen messengers )

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, ( gods wotness was the power in them who preached )and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:1, 3-4‬ ‭

“Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:28, 30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:21-23‬ ‭KJV

its really important we don’t let this happen

“in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

trust the truth that Jesus was sent to preach the gospel and then he sent believers of the gospel out to the world to share it with you

If we let people convince us of different paths and different gospels we’re following a different lord and it won’t reach the same path place

Yet not one of the passages you have quoted actually presents the Gospel ITSELF. Some of them mention the Gospel directly, others do not even pertain to the Gospel per se.

The law and dthe prophets were until John. Why is this? It is because they all pointed to Jesus Yeshua Who came to fulfill them all, not to destroy them. God bless all who understand dthe weight of these words, "the law and the prophets were until John."

amen the law and prophets were foretelling the gospel the whole time …..here’s a few scriptures as to what your saying

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus after he was raised up just before he ascended to the throne explained better what he had said there

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,( the law and prophets ) and said unto them, Thus it is written, ( in the law and prophets )

and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

and ( also ) that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:44-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the law and prophets were prophetic Christ is the reality they foretold

“For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If you look at the end of the prophets it’s a promise of John the Baptist preparing the people for Jesus.

“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:( john )

and the Lord, ( Jesus ) whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.”
‭‭Malachi‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Which shall prepare thy way before thee. …John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1-2, 4‬ ‭

Remember what Jesus said would be sent to all nations

“repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

the law ends at baptism into Christs death for our sins

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭

When you sin the law demands your death when your baptized it releases you from the law because the law says no more to the dead sinner it ends when your baptized o to death and you receive the spirit that comes from the gospel

“Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? …( you died with Jesus ) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ;

that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. ( that’s the New Testament )

For when we were in the flesh, ( before you died with Christ ) the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; ( because once you commit sin your now indebted to the punishment of the law for sin which is death )

that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:1, 4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have to serve god by this word

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and not this word

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s really simple some try to impose Moses words to those who never knew Christ , upon those who accept Christ and his words of life and light and truth and hope and righteousness he spoke forth on the gospel and sent to all people he was always saying he would do this even moses said it

“Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s what Jesus also came to do

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is foretelling a future event it’s prophetic Jesus is the one who came to fulfill these things from this

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

To this

“Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, When his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭2:6-9, 11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

To this

“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses law is the old covenant , the gospel that Jesus was sent into the world to preach is the new and eternal covenant that promises life and fulfills the things he was talking about that’s what it means to acknolwedge “ Jesus is the Christ “ it means Jesus is the messiah the ot had been foretelling all along …..

he did fulfill the prophetic elements of the law and prophets and psalms that were concerning the messiah we need to be followers of Jesus and not followers of Moses

I am not bickering or arguing. Since the title of your thread is "one Gospel" at the very least we need to see that one Gospel presented (however briefly). People should also know that the one Gospel has several designations in Scripture, since some believe there is more than one Gospel. There may be some newcomer or visitor who has not seen the Gospel before, and this might be where he or she sees what is the Gospel.

The gospel unto salvation is about preaching words. Words are important. The gospel is how Christ died for our sins, was buried, and resurrected the third day.

1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

the gospel unto salvation ? You mean the truth be and only gospel right the one where God promises salvation to believers ? This one ?

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

This gospel of salvation given by Jesus sent to all his creatures promising salvation ?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16, 19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

your talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ right ? The life ministry power suffering and death resurrection of and ascention to the throne of heaven of our lord Jesus Christ ? Who yes of course died and rose lol thats in every account of the gospel and everyone needs to believe it or they wouldn’t get baptized for remission of sins knowing Jesus does for thier sins nd eas raised for both over justification

jesus dying and raising up is the gospel as well as everything he preached from e day he was baptized and began preaching the gospel. The gospel is just what it is anyone can know the gospel by studying Matthew mark Luke and John those are the four eye witness accounts of the gospel we have in the Bible

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul now preaching the same gospel of Jesus Christ in his epistles

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

by whom we ( the apostles )have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1, 3-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul still preaching the gospel

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ,( Matthew mark Luke and John are all about Jesus ) with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s just the gospel it offers salvstion read the things Jesus promised his followers and you’ll know about the gospel of salvstion things like this

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

saved from death ….

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭

salvation from death !

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ( saved ) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned:( saved ) but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Very first thing Paul preached when he was converted to Christianity through meeting Jesus , and Ananias witness

“And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, ( Paul was trying to stamp out christianity later was converted and became a member of the church ) and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭9:18, 20-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Every Christian will hear about Jesus dying and being raised up it’s the gospel just like the rest that’s written in the gospel
Paul explaining this after his arrest under oath

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:19-20, 22-23‬ ‭

The law and dthe prophets were until John. Why is this? It is because they all pointed to Jesus Yeshua Who came to fulfill them all, not to destroy them. God bless all who understand dthe weight of these words, "the law and the prophets were until John."
One thing to consider there is “ since tbat time the kingdom of God is preached and every man entereth in “

If you read Moses law and then read Jesus sermons you will see a direct conflict this is an example

“It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

but I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. ( Moses said you can divorce for any reason and can remarry Deuteronomy 24:1-3 Jesus is saying that would be adultery )

Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:( Moses law says this in several places Deuteronomy 23:23 Jesus is saying don’t do that )

but I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: ( Moses law says this in several places Deuteronomy 19-21-22Leviticus 24:20 Jesus is saying no don’t do that )

but I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:31-35, 38-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“the law “ is the law of Moses Jesus is literally quoting from Moses words and teaching the opposite principles it’s as opposite as this
“And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you. And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭19:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and this

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

its as contrary as feel free to divorce for any reason and remarry

and you must not divorce but for adultery and must not otherwise remarry that would be adultery

One doctrine was preached this one was preached

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

until johns ministry of repentance and remission of sins

And then the gospel of the kingdom began to be preached

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God was promising to make a new eternal covenant he would come and speak it himself and it would go forth to the ends of the earth for the salvation of the nations beginning at Jerusalem the gospel is him making that covenant and offering salvation to all that believe the truth and hear the words of repentance and life he gave us

“People should also know that the one Gospel has several designations in Scripture, since some believe there is more than one Gospel.”

can you explain what you mean by this ? What does has several designations mean ? I have absolutely no clue what you’re saying there I’m sinply asking you to further explain .

Im asking simply what do you mean by has several designations ?
Just in case someone out there has never read a NT Bible. Jesus came to Earth and taught us how to be saved as well as paying for our salvation. Several men recorded his deeds and words. We call each account a "Gospel". They are four accounts of the same true story. The all contain the same truths.

We have the Gospel according to Matthew.
We have the Gospel according to Mark.
We have the Gospel according to Luke.
We have the Gospel according to John.

Slightly different in style and length, but they are all the story of Jesus. My personal favorite is John.

Perfectly said , perfectly

the gospel according to Matthew an apostle

“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gospel according to mark a disciple of Jesus and close ministry companion of Paul and also Peter

begins

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The gospel according to Luke an early disciple and companion of Paul and the other apostles

“Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,( that’s why we have the four gospels ) even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s how we have the gospels

The gospel according to John another apostle and eye witness of Jesus the lord

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ….And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1, 14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Johns purpose for writing his witness of the gospel

“but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The lord came to save us if we will believe he will do it though we fail and come up short he never will

“The gospel unto salvation is about preaching words. Words are important. The gospel is how Christ died for our sins, was buried, and resurrected the third day.”

the gospel unto salvation ? You mean the truth be and only gospel right the one where God promises salvation to believers ? This one ?

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This same gospel that would be preached to all nations of men ?

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This gospel of salvation given by Jesus sent to all his creatures promising salvation ?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Did Jesus and his disciples preach the death, burial, and resurrection for sins before the cross? Nope. It was a mystery until after revealed. Not one person was "looking forward" to the cross of Jesus Christ.

Beginning with John the Baptizer and Christ what was preached was (1) that all must believe on the Son of God and (2) repentance is for the remission of sins. For that time, this was enough.

And what did Christ Himself say? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (John 6:29)

This was more than enough for that time. And the heart of the Gospel remains exactly the same -- BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED. Except that now believing on the Son of God includes believing what His death, burial, and resurrection accomplished.

And also believing that receiving Christ as Savior includes receiving Him as Lord of your life and obeying His commandments (the Law of Christ). But that is a part of sanctification, not of justification by grace through faith.

And as a matter of fact the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ was NOT a "mystery" prior to those actual events. He spoke about them several times, but those things did not really register (even with His apostles). But they were definitely not hidden from view. Those who are familiar with the New Testament will know what I am talking about.

Jesus Yeshua settles all when He teaches that a law must be applied with mercy, judgment and more. Remember the laws given to Moses became the laws of Moses; this is due to the changes and additions over time by man's thinking. Jesus Yeshua fulfilled the law in all its application, not to abolish it.

If you are saying that people could get saved without believing the death, burial, and resurrection for sins, then that is another gospel. I’m only advocating one gospel message for salvation. It is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

The cross was a mystery because God hid it from them until after. You just claimed it was not hid.

Luke 18
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
