I'm not sure how what he said was disturbing. I interpreted his post to mean, "step away from the computer and go outside". Taking time away from the computer allows time to detach from potentially explosive situations and to rethink things.

You are totally wrong in that aspect. No where in the Bible does it say that God took back the Gifts of the Holy Spirit because the last apostle died. Many God serving, God Fearing individuals worship and praise and minister to others and the unsaved through those Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have seen and experienced this happen many times. You are a very judgemental and live a very legalistic life. If anyone needs to study the Word of God it is you. It doesn't even sound like you have a decent version of the Bible by what you beliefs you are pushing on the rest of us. We need to live our lives according to the Word of the Lord which is both the Old Testement and New Testement plain and simple.
 
I have been involved with praise and worship of the Lord using the tambourine and in the dance. It is awesome!!!!! The Holy Spirit definitely is a part of worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth. No one can or will convince me otherwise. It is in his Word. Psalms 149 and Psalms 150.

Psalm isn't a proper reference in defending instrumental music considering if one went by psalm they'd also be required to sacrifice animals.

Well now that you mention it. He may have said first something about her health??? Its beed so long ago15-20 years or so. But he did say that baptism was not nessary, when we talked. I am sure that had a little bearing on his reason, maybe not??? I remember knowing the nurse she didn't want to do it also.

I forgot to tell you they got a Presbutarian(sp) to sprinkler her :-(

They reject the baptism of God, add the baptism of men commanded by God, and think they are more holy than others.

There probloem is they can;t see the sin in their own lives that ensnares them. Like the pharisee, they seem to be holy (to themselves) but in reality, they are as black as they were before they started to have faith in their works.

Psalms are the only inspired songs found under the heaven and have nothing at all to do with (keeping the law) as the were worshipful songs given by inspiration and are acceptable songs to be sung anytime....just saying that is and am not being mouthy! :)

You like to use scripture out of contex, so quote the verse that God has a double standard when it comes to salvatiion.
God has ONE plane for salvation, not two or three or four depending on the person or the circumstances of his life.

I agree as Baptism is the outward testimony to the world of an inward conversion in Jesus and by His perfect faith...from faith unto faith it is written!

Who is the true church of Christ? The true church of Christ consists of believers all over the world who are born of His Spirit, and are obedient to His word. They are those who pick up their crosses and follow Jesus daily. They deny the comforts and pleasures of the fallen nature, and they are led by the Spirit. They are not into religion or religious games. They are not into self vanity and worldly image. They are broken and humble, they are righteous, they fear no man, but fear God. The opinions of people do not move them. They only care about what God thinks of them. They are the outcasts, they are the chosen, and they will overcome.

Are you referring to the 9 gifts the Apostles were given or what. So are you saying miracles, laying on hands, speaking in tongues still exist, that's what I asked you before and still no answer.

Romans 16;16 We are the one's that worship according to the bible. This means every Lord's day, which is Sunday. We take of the Lord's supper and give and sing songs without instruments. We have elders, deacons, preachers and teachers.. We believe baptism is essential to one's salvation. This is what the church of the bible, which is the Church of Christ does. Mark16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 20:7, Matthew 16:18
 
(James 2:24) You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
 
(John 12:42) "Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;" Now consider this passage and harmonize the two. (Matthew 10:32-33) "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. If a person believes in Jesus, but will not confess Him to other men, is he saved? If not, then belief/faith only will not save.....

Romans states clearly that we are justified before GOD by faith without works so which is it?...maybe context will help and James clearly states, "show ME your faith" and James is talking about being justified before men!

Before God--->faith without works-->Romans-->David and Abraham as two witnesses
Before Men--->our faith is seen by our works as biblical salvation based upon faith will always produce works!

The truth of the matter is, I do not believe Christ ever separated the two. Faith and Works are both part of us submitting ourselves to the Will of God. If we do works so we can get brownie points and get into Heaven. Nope! Well, all I have to do is just believe really hard and never worry about anything, just believe and I get into Heaven. NOPE!

Wait, what if the faith I have in God, is God's gift of grace to me? I must give God my whole being, my life, my body, my will. Lord have mercy on me a sinner. I know I will stumble, but say the word and I will follow you wherever you call. (It is at the end of this life that we will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant.")

Miracles happen every day. Remember Senator, Gabby Giffords she was shot in the head a few years ago and was placed in a coma and the doctors were not sure whether she would even wake up and if she did she would not make as much of a recovery as she did. That was a God thing. Called a miracle. You say miracles don't exist, she is living proof they do. Laying on hands happen daily. Speaking in tongues is another way we communicate with God in a more personal way.
