It actually does, with the light drawing them.
These were not indwelt with the life yet (Romans 8:9-11), and they believed.
John 7:38-39 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Same with Ephesians 1:13-14, not indwelt with the life yet, but they believed.
Same with Galatians 3:2-3, they were not indwelt with the life yet, but they believed.
The life is always the result of believing.
Back to Romans 5:1-2, we enter into that life by believing.
Remember, with the Holy Spirit indwelling, life, without the Holy Spirit indwellingt, no life.
That's what it says, I know you agree with Romans 8:9-11, as all Calvinists do, just connect the dots.
Romans 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin,
but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Believe, and be delivered/saved both positionally/legally, and practically/the life.
