I am not well versed on this, but I believe this is related directly to the Feast of the First Fruits two days after Passover in the Word. Jesus Christ is the First Born of the resurrection. It makes sense to me that this feast was a prophecy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and once fulfilled by Him, it is yet to be observed as the First Fruits (First of the Resurrection." It is a halleluyah for me, always. Let me know what you get from this. Feast of the First Fruits, two days after Passover.

My friend, the resurrection of Christ is not commemorated...

Lev 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

This is the offering of Christ presented to the Father.

As far as the firstfruits of the church is celebrated by Pentecost...

Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Lev 23:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

The church began on Pentecost. The resurrection of the saints is pictured on Trumpets...

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

The actual resurrection of Christ is not celebrated on a Feast day.

Chronology of the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Yeshua

Here is a tentative chronology of the key events surrounding Yeshua's death, burial and resurrection. Yeshua was crucified on Nisan 14 (a Thursday), exactly when the Passover Lambs were being offered at the Temple, and He rose from the dead three days and nights later, on the night of Nisan 17 (i.e., before sunrise on Sunday):
Nisan 14 evening - Yeshua's early Seder (Wed. night) Nisan 14 daytime - "Preparation day" (Luke 23:54; Mark 15:42) for Passover. Yeshua died Thursday afternoon at the same time that the korban Pesach (Passover Lamb) was sacrificed at the Temple and was buried before sundown. Nisan 15 evening - The High Sabbath of Passover begins (the actual Seder night) Nisan 15 daytime - The High Sabbath of Passover (Friday before sundown) Nisan 16 evening - The Weekly Sabbath begins (Friday after sundown) Nisan 16 daytime - Weekly Sabbath, waving of the omer (Saturday) Nisan 17 evening - Yeshua was resurrected some time before sunrise on Sunday. Nisan 17 daytime - Women bring spices to the tomb early in the morning. Disciples encounter risen Messiah.

To understand this reckoning, you must remember that a Jewish day starts at sundown and ends at twilight the following day. If Yeshua was on the cross on Nisan 14 (during the time of sacrifice of korban Pesach at the Temple) and was raised after three days and nights, we then would have the following:

keep seeking. that chart and time-line are too frequently trusted, but so very wrong.

find the true Jews, abiding in union in yahshua hamashiach, circumcised of heart; they have it exactly right (yes, contrary to all the churches and all the world who all have nothing right).

not for argument, nor further vain speculation. but notice the error in that time-line in it's own description of its self..... it is blatantly obvious.

but again, keep seeking and yahshua's promise is that the truth will be found - that is HIS PROMISE.

Hi Jeff, where can I find this information?

Jesus Christ, Yeshua, declared to those who were seeking a sign that they would receive no signe except that of Jonah. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man would be in the belly of the earth three days and three nights.

Beginning with this information will make the determinations a bit easier.

At issue is that Christ was put into the ground just before sunset on Wednesday, April 25, 31AD. Three days and three nights later puts the resurrection at just before sunset on Sabbath (Saturday), April 28, 31AD. There was no Sunday morning resurrection.

and (even now already) is it in the world.

For the mystery of iniquity (doth already work): only he who now letteth will let,

until he be taken out of the way.

then or now it gets worse

my view was the end of passover ended, 4th day of week

between dusk an dark, laid to rest finally the stone sealed

then the night to be most remembered, 5th day ,A high holy day, unleavened bread

6th day a normal day, can work , but still a Holy day.

the Sabbath, 7th day week, no work, holy convocation.

between dusk and dark sometime, he arrose.

the first day of the week, we know before it was light, the tomb was empty.

3 whole days three whole nights

my guess is somewhere between the days.

please forgive my bad grammer everyone, thanks

And your understanding is very good here. Between the days could be very correct and I certainly could not disagree.

Interesting that you mentioned the Night To Be Much Observed (Night To Be Much Remembered and other designations). We keep it also. It is interesting to note that the Covenant God made with Abraham was made on the Night To Be Much Observed (I think the NKJV calls it a Night of Solemn Observance).

My position is that the Passover was eaten Wednesday evening after sundown and the Lord was crucified about 9AM Thursday, and entombed shortly before sundown Thursday at the close of 14 Abib. Sundown Thursday to sundown Friday was 15 Abib the Levitical Sabbath. Sundown Friday to sundown Saturday was the 7th day Sabbath. Sundown Satturday to sundown Sunday was the first day of the week nominally Sunday.

thank you GandalfTheWhite, I'm on the way to work now, and will get the link/info/ a way to find out and verify for you later today, Yahweh Willing.
as you can see/read/probably, there's a lot of wrong schools about this,
but one is true (
have not seen here yet) and
only one lines up as true with all Torah and Scripture. this is absolutely true by testing as you will most likely see later,
but others(be aware)
have dismissed the truth in favor of another 'school' because of reasons unknown to me. they almost always
have some kind of 'scholarship' or another authority they trust,
and that has led them willingly or unwittingly to believe the error(s).

Not sure how that can work, that puts the resurrection on Sunday afternoon right about sunset.

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning (the feasts of the Lord),
which ye shall proclaim (to be holy convocations), even these are (my feasts).

- it says Gods feasts made by God for God, a Holy convocation to the Lord.

4These are (the feasts of the Lord), (even holy convocations),
which ye (shall proclaim) in (their seasons).

-44And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

Passover and unleavened bread.

12For I will pass through the land of Egypt (this night),
13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are
14And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye( shall keep it a feast) to
the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it (a feast) by (an ordinance) (for ever).

43And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is (the ordinance of the passover):
There shall no stranger eat thereof:
48And when (a stranger) shall sojourn with thee, (and will keep the passover to the Lord),
let all his (males be circumcised), and (then let him come near) and keep it;
and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for (no uncircumcised person) shall eat thereof.

16And in the first day there shall be (an holy convocation),
and in the seventh day there shall be (an holy convocation) to you

17And ye shall observe (the feast of unleavened bread); for in this selfsame day have I brought
your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations
by (an ordinance) (for ever).

9And it shall be for (a sign unto thee) (upon thine hand), and for (a memorial) (between thine eyes),
that (the Lord's law) may be in (thy mouth): for with a strong hand hath (the Lord brought thee out of Egypt).

- a sign to us apon hand, for a memoral between our eyes.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Now (the feast) of (unleavened bread) drew nigh, which is called (the Passover).

1 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.
For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

1 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV)

Therefore let us (keep the feast), not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness;
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

it says to keep the feast, that is once a year, because of Christs sacrificed for us,

it is commanded

1 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Exactly! Paul says to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. He also kept the other Feasts of the Eternal.

Acts 12:3 (KJV)
And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.
(Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

Acts 20:6 (KJV)
And we sailed away from Philippi after (the days of unleavened bread),
and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

That night, during the ceremony, Jesus changed the symbols,
explaining that He was now that Passover sacrifice (Matthew 26:26-28).

- so we should put away sin or unleavened, and take a day off from working.
