Passover/Unleavened Countdown . . .For Those Who Celebrate Them

Might I ask why those who are celebrating the Passover when it has nothing to do with them?

I celebrate it to remember the miraculous atonement for Israel.
I celebrate it to remember the miraculous atonement and salvation God gave me through the life, death and resurrection of my Savior, which was done at Passover.

The reason a person would eat a Passover meal is called stupidity.

The "sader" Passover meal of the Jews, of today, is not at all, like the Passover Jesus kept with His disciples. The Sader meal is the Christian's interpretation of the old T. Passover. As an aside, if you do the 4 cups during the Seder, be aware that you don't have to do 4 FULL cups of wine.
We did that at our first seder.

No one here is talking about being justified , or saved by the law or commandments. The law CANNOT save or justify us before God.

Application of the law or commands is for a completely different reason.

You can't win. Every time a word from the OT is mentioned and honored it will be classified as justification by the law. But if one questions if justification means we must throw out the OT he will be accused of twisting their word.
So be a good boy just let them lead.

Yes I did and you keep wanting completely divorce obedience from grace. You keep saying that Law and Grace are mutually EXCLUSIVE. In reality they are mutually INCLUSIVE and salvation is give to those who do obey the Law...

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

It is a matter of Law AND Grace and this seems to be a major problem to you.

We just started clearing out our cabinets today of yeast. We'll be working through them bit by bit over the couple of weeks.

I had an awesome revelation a couple of years ago about going through all of the cabinets. I know full well that there is no yeast in bananas. Pretty obvious, right? But God showed me how there are so many areas of my life that I take for granted and assume is completely OK with Him, and without sin or defilement. Is that really the case? Or should I be willing to examine EVERY part of my life and ask God if it is pleasing to Him, or if it is defiling to me or others?

So back to the bananas....I made it a point to go through every cabinet and every piece of food in my kitchen and specifically aske, "Is there yeast in this?", knowing full that that there wasn't. As I was doing it, I was going through specific areas of my life asking God, "Is there sin in this area of my life?"

Let's just say I found yeast in my life I never even knew was there.

Keeping Sabbath, observing the Feasts, ya know we think ourselves adults and that we learn in a grown up way, and not as how we would teach our children, such as a flashcard with a picture of an apple for the letter A. Reality is, I've been shown so much, have such a deeper understanding of God's Word since I began doing more of His instructions. We read words on a page not comprehending in a tangible way when we cannot/do not record that knowledge in a physical way. Kinda like reading a recipe and thinking what it tastes like, or getting the ingredients to make it. Hey, is that what is meant by taste and see the LORD is good? Well, if it's not, I think of it like that.

God uses lots of things to communicate with us. When we take the blueprints and build the house we have a 3 dimensional structure, not just a 2 dimensional sketch on paper.

And one does not know how bloody and cruel it is until one tries slaughtering a one year old lamb which you have been keeping for 4 days. No, I don't need to physically try it. The imagination of it has already sent a shiver down my spine.

I know. And ya know what? I guess I'm a slow learner, but not studying about the Jewish customs before, I didn't really think about what you just said, that is until a few months ago. I didn't even know about that part. Don't know why I was asleep for so long, but I've gained so much since realizing I am grafted in!

Lessons to learn from that also. We never get every single crumb out. What a great lesson in that we are never perfect and sinless in this fleshly existence. Sin hides in us in ways we do nto recognize, David called them secret sins. God shows us more each year. As we mature, God shows us sins a babe doesn't recognize. Every year we get a deeper understanding of how much we need Christ and His sacrifice.

This is what it cost for us to be redeemed. Sometimes I feel like Job...

not a once a year passover festival where you search for baking products in your kitchen, just as Christ is not sacrificed every year. the christian life is a continual love-feast.

You're right, it is continual, but that doesn't negate a specific rememberance.
