Quick question: last day of the feast of the unleavened bread were to be a holy convocation and solemn assembly. What is it about? Thanks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
during this time of year we try and study diligently the Feast of our Lord
that we may have a better understanding and a greater personal relationship with Him.
we have found that the scriptures become sweeter and sweeter as the layers are peeled away.
oh how we do so love learning and especially the input of what other like-minded-diligent seekers
have learned and experienced.
we thank our Lord for the faithful brethren.
Christ is our PASSOVER, the wages of sin is death'.
Christ died for our sins, as the Angel of The Lord spared
the Israelites from the death of the first-born of Egypt
through the sprinkling of blood,
so Christ saves us from death through His blood/sacrifice,
He is our Passover Lamb.
The Lamb is crucified,
He is raised from the dead,
He ascends to The Father,
He becomes our High Priest,
First Day of Unleavened Bread.
The Last Day of Unleavened Bread,
signifies The Completion of the Work of The High Priest.
For death is swallowed up in Victory, and God shall be All in all.
our part of the Feast is to symbolically 'put-out' sin - leaven, from our lives.
but, thanks be to God, where we fall short Christ becomes The Lord our Righteousness.
amen.
