Even popcorn is excited to see this film. And YES haha that's clever! I've always wanted to say "I've read the book" before watching a movie. This would be the first time LOL.

Amen sis! It seems to me like it has been on throughout our history. It is sad though, People claim to be law keepers. Then when you ask them if they are sinless, They say no. Which means they are law breakers, Not law keepers. While its true their are worse law breakers (Hitler Stalin etc. etc.) we are still law breakers and subject to the penalty of the law. (Whatever law that may be)
we love to water down laws. Because it makes us feel better about ourself. It is al about self. That is why we walk away from God to begin with, And we realise this, that what we make our own God up and make our own status of what righteousness is (if I do not do this that or that then I am ok)
again, it is quite sad.

This is not to judge others, but I cannot bring myself to watch religious themed movies.
Just seems to be too much of man's opinions at the expense of truth.
I also find it difficult to support an industry that is dominated by so many ungodly people.

I used to feel the same way, until I realized that these movies cause people to ask questions of pastors, teachers and church houses.
Caviezel has an amazing testimony about the making of The Passion.

i don't know about that. it's funny but i read an article that explained that: "During the ministry of Jesus, the following description was sent by the President of Judea, Publius Lentulus, to the senate of Rome. This quote is from an ancient Roman manuscript:
There lives a man of singular character whose name is Jesus Christ, in Judea. The barbarians esteem him as a prophet, but his own followers adore him as the immediate offspring of the immortal God. He is endowed with such unparalleled virtue as to call the dead from their graves, and to heal every kind of disease with a word or touch. I understand, at the same time I will stick to the only Hebrew manuscripts that matter to me the Old Testamant. Here are some tother translation translate these verses Isaiah 53:2-3.

There was nothing special or impressive about the way he looked, nothing we could see that would cause us to like Him.3 People made fun of Him, and even His friends left him. He was a man who suffered a lot of pain and sickness. We treated Him like someone of no importance, like someone people will not even look at but turn away from in disgust.”
Holman Christian Standard Bible “He grew up before Him like a young plant and like a root out of dry ground. He didn’t have an impressive form or majesty that we should look at Him, no appearance that we should desire Him.3He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering who knew what sickness was. He was like someone people turned away from; He was despised, and we didn’t value Him.”
I love this translation the best, International Children’s Bible “He grew up like a small plant before the Lord. He was like a root growing in a dry land. He had no special beauty or form to make us notice Him.There was nothing in his appearance to make us desire him.3 He was hated and rejected by people. He had much pain and suffering. People would not even look at Him.He was hated, and we didn’t even notice Him.”
We didn't even notice Him, just like when He left the Temple and went into the crowd and no one seen Him because He blended right, because He had nothing special abut Him that He would be noticed in a crowd of people. It is written that at the time that Jesus was in Israel that the average Jewish man was about 5 foot 2 to 4 inches tall. They were probably the same or shorter when Saul was mande king of Israel that is why he was head taller then the other men in Israel. I Samuel 9:1-2

All I was trying to say is that Hollywood makes the chacters of the Bible to be good looking people when the Bible says they were verage or not good looking at all, when it comes to men. Now the women on the other hand were beautiful woman, Sarah was so beautiful that Abraham was arfaid they would kill him so they could have Sarah as their wife. Genesis 12:10-14 “Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.11 When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance,12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live.13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.”
Look at Esther she no only was she lovely to look at, she also had a beautiful figure to go with it, Esther 2:7
“He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, the daughter of his uncle, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was lovely to look at, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.”
It seems the Lord likes having beautiful women in His stories or in the history of the Bible, but just average to mugly looking guy except for David, who was ruddy (a healthy red color) with beautiful eyes and was handsome, I Samuel 16:12.
“And he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy and had beautiful eyes and was handsome. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him, for this is he.”

So reject a movie the lost may go see and then might lead them to the church house or Bible teacher to explain it to them.
How religious of you.
Sister I was not saying do not watch the movie, what I am saying is that hollywood make God's chosen heros to be what the world looks for in their heros. The Lord in the inspiring of the Bible did not leave out the faults of His chosen heros like Saul to become Paul. He was not much to look at in his stature, he had a cronic eye infection, he was physically sick and he wasn't not a very good speaker. II Corinthians 10:7-11
“Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s.8 For even if I should boast somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed—9 lest I seem to terrify you by letters.10 “For his letters,” they say, “are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”11 Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such we will also be in deed when we are present.”
Galatians 4:12-15 “Brethren, I urge you to become like me, for I became like you. You have not injured me at all.13 You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first.14 And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.15 What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me.16 Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?”
If the desire for Biblical accuracy is being religious, then I am very religious. What is wrong with wanting the movie to show the truth of the Bible? What did Jesus say in John 8:31-32?
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
We as Christians should want the Bible to be portrayed correctly by hollywood or anyone else that is trying to tell a story of the Bible.
