Paul saw the ten commandments as part of the "ministry of death."

Ill wrap it up with pointing this out

Acts 15:19-21,29 “19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles (new converts) who are turning to YHWH, 20, but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood. 21, For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath. 29, that you abstain from what is offered to idols, and blood, and what is strangled, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!”

if the new converts go to service...they will learn more...can't expect a new convert to know everything and do everything that they have never even heard...

Wherever I said LAW, i meant COMMANDMENTS, but the LAW does indeed define SINS we commit.

Law in Hebrew is Torah, it simply means INSTRUCTIONS. Easier for people to reject a scary "Law" rather then the Creators "Instructions"

Commands in Hebrew is Mitzwah, means Commanded or Commands as in an active Command.

Only in the modern minds are the completely different things, what is commonly understood as "Law" is Laws, Commands, Statues and Judgments. But each are similar but slightly different aspects

Isolation 10 Commandments from the rest is a human invention .

2 sum up all of them:

Mat 22:37-40, “Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Love also defends the innocent from evil

Psalm 82:3-4, "(You should) defend the weak and fatherless! (You should) maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed! (You should) rescue the poor and needy, and deliver them from the hands of the wicked."

James 1:27, Religion that is pure and undefiled before Yah, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. "

Law in Hebrew is Torah, it simply means INSTRUCTIONS.
Someone "commits" a SIN, the LAW [Instructions] define what that Sin is and why it is a Sin unto God.

As a Follower of Christ, WHO lives WITHOUT Condemnation, when unfortunately I DO SIN, I know the meaning of that Sin and why it goes against God because of the INSTRUCTION MANUAL, the LAW, defines why it is a SIN towards Our Holy God.

And as a Christian, without CONDEMNATION, I still must place my Committed SINS under the Blood of Jesus, to REMAIN without Condemnation.

I would say generally I agree with you, I will say like this, in the OT and NT there are promises of life and death, depending on if one chooses to have faith and obedience or chooses not to. The reason I made a post on death in the NT is becase a claim was made only the OT talks about that or something similar.

The last verse I posted contained BOTH, possibly you didnt actually read my whole post or just missed it:

but there is clearly a choice of life or death in the entire Word:

"those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have practised evil matters, to a resurrection of judgment."

Very similar to this:

Deuteronomy 30:19-20, "“I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore you shall choose life, so that you live, both you and your seed, to love יהוה your Elohim, to obey His voice, and to cling to Him – for He is your life and the length of your days – to dwell in the land which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Ya‛aqoḇ, to give them.”
the new testsment is the way out of death into life the death you see is not a promise it’s a warning like this it’s meant for life but we have to hear and accept it as truthh because our lord is telling us

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is Jesus imparting the right mind of life Into us but the issue is when we reject it that’s death to not accept the gospel is what I’m saying

The law is the “ ministration of death “

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

For if the ministration of condemnation be glory,

much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:7-9‬ ‭

There are two testaments meant for two purposes one is to bring man to the knowledge of thier sins

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.( if the law is about forgiving sin and mercy Paul doesn’t understand because he’s saying everything the law says is meant hold the world guilty forgiving sin doesn’t accomplish that )

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So first came the law to give the knowledge of sin like the scriptire above says there , then comes at gods appointed time the original promise of the gospel that’s about remitting sins not making us guilty but forgiving us and renewing us and teaching us righteousness not sin but righteousness

there’s an order

The law and the prophets were until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When Jesus began to preach he says this to those who lived under the law

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Wheras the law imparts the knowledge of sin and death the gospel is about Gods righteousness and eternal life

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No matter how pore we think we are it’s because there’s a lot we haven’t heard yet that Jesus taught is my theory we can’t forget the part that Jesus came to save sinners by beforendong then and accepting them up front and then directing them in the truths like “ you really do need to repent or your going to perish like sinners always have “

Jesus teachings are the lords word directly from the lords mouth face to face Jesus isnt just a prophet like Moses or an apostle like Paul he is the lord and savior of them both and all of us as well

But the New Testament that comes from Jesus is not about imputing sin and making the world guilty of thier sins , it’s about the opposite function and began to be preached in Jerusalem by Jesus and then his apostles and disciples afterwards

“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, ( in the ot ) and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:45-48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Man had to be made aware of sin and what it is and what it results in death in order to. BRing them to repentance so the law was preached until Jesus came forth preaching the gospel which is about repentance and faith in Christ and his word that’s the one promising everlasting life Moses never promised that he only promised a good old age and then death of they all obeyed every single thing perfectly

ot was t about believing into righteousness but was about how righteous a sinner at heart could be the gospel isnt like that it changes the heart through faith hearing and believing the lord

Actually, according to Jewish tradition, the Torah contains 613 commandments.
248 instructions of what to do and 365 instructions of what not to do.

Psalm 119

Gimel/ג

17, Do good to Your servant, Let me live and I guard Your word.

18, Open my eyes, that I might see Wonders from Your Torah.

19, I am a sojourner in the earth; Do not hide Your commands from me.

And according to Yahshua untill heaven and earth passes those Laws/Commands whatever you want to call them stil stand.

Matthew 5:17-19, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.”

Revelation 21:1-2, “And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Yah, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”

Has this yet happened? heaven and earth passing away?

and YHWH Commanded Moseh what the Law was

Malachi 4:1-4, “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings.”

Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though YHWH's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Yisra’yl who belongs to Yisra’yl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are YHWH's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."

Psalms 105:6-10, “O seed of Aḇraham His servant, Children of Ya‛aqoḇ, His chosen ones! He is יהוה our Strength; His right-rulings are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, The Word He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant He made with Aḇraham, And His oath to Yitsḥaq, And established it to Ya‛aqoḇ for a law, To Yisra’yl – an everlasting covenant.”

I'll tell you why we wouldn't want to: Exactly because we don't need to. Why would anyone want to keep 613 commands they don't need to, and could never keep? Do you think God is impressed if we want to keep 613 commands that He has replaced anyway?

Revelation 14:12-13, "Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones,c here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “in order that they rest from their labours, and their works follow with them.”

the devil fights against those who do

Revelation 12:17, "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of יהושע Messiah. "

worship and/or related to religious Temple practices, which has been destroyed.
Hebrews 4:14-15, "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has ascended into the heavens: Yahshua the Son of יהוה, let us hold fast our profession. For we do not have a High Priest Who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all ways tempted as we are, yet was without sin."

Hebrews 9:11-12, "But the Messiah came near as a High Priest over the righteous things to come, with the great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation; Nor through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once, for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

Matthew 19:17-22, "And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Elohim. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.” (See also Luk 10:28, Joh 12:50, Rev 22:14) He said to Him, “Which?” And יהושע said, “ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ” The young man said to Him, “All these I have watched over from my youth, what do I still lack?” יהושע said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go,c sell what you have and give to the poor, and you shall haved treasure in heaven. And come, follow Me.” And when the young man heard the word, he went away sad, because he had many possessions."

Cant hold on to worldliness.
