I am more exhausted with myself mostly LOL - My friends always compare me with a Sour Patch Kid. First their Sour - then Sweet and then they're gone!

Just like me - I am stand offish - then I am sweet and sometimes I disappear for weeks and nobody knows where I've been because I've been hiding in my room. lol

YAY! INFP CLUB! Can we be wrapped in pillows and blankets and just lay around not talking??? xD

Maybe the club will offer mugs of steaming hot cocoa with mini-marshmallows floating on top to help getting that warm fuzzy feeling.

yep sure. I will have pillows. Im just kinda having a hard time at the moment cos non INFPS keep butting in and making fun of us.

The pillows are so we can rest our weary heads and dream...and look at the clouds in the sky. I will also have hanging baskets of plants if we are inside so we can gaze up at them too. :)

welcome to the INFP club.

my brother once said something about how when theres conflict I go and 'sulk in my room' which is actually not true that I sulk I go to find peace and regroup.

Its funny how people misread others and even think the worst about them...without knowing their heart. Im probably guilty of the same. But I do try to understand what people are like. i dont have an intense need for control that others do for example. But I respect that is how some people are, and it can actually be a good thing in certain situations, but also harm others without that person even realising it. if peoole always assume everyone is the same and think exactly like they do, they will be in for a rude awakening when people do not always do what they would do in any given situation

Now I hyper analyze every single question for flaws in the metric used to determine personality that I don't think I could honestly take it again unless it were a giant sample size with very direct questions.

These Mostly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree questions just seem so arbitrary. Not to mention a lot of these questions aren't faith based and since what scripture is a central focus to my interaction with life each response changes situationally.

When I was into tests like that when I was in my early teens I got INTJ and then later in my early 20s I took it again and got INTP the first time (while remembering the ones I was 50/50 on) took it again and got INTJ.

I had a friend of mine label me an INTP who is quite into measuring a person through psychology.

If someone can recommend a good test with scenarios (like word problem style) and not the 1-5 agree/disagree format I'd like to give it a look.

I would say just look at what it describes as the two types you most fit and see which one resonates best.
Generally when I take it the indicator its always INFP. according to MBTI site theres a few different quizzes you can take but I wouldnt go spend heaps of money on it! Just do the free ones.

I dont know if theres any specifically faith based personality type but you can always do the spiritual gifts test that you can take online. It will show you what your gifts or talents are.

Make another thread on that if you like...I dont have a monopoly on it. I think the MBTI one is good in that theres 16 different combinations, some are way to broad and. only give you four types. Its also somehwat validating that there are quite obvious differences in the way people relate to each other and situations. I wouldnt have known introversion was a trait rather than as some people seem to think its a liability.

Mii INTP is architect
INTJ is logician

well observing the way you respond to even doing this quiz/test to me it seems you are more like logician. But the two are very similar so you could be a bit of both.

I seem to get a different answer whenever I try the test. Last time it was INFJ and now it is INFP. Before that it was much more analytical. My son was in the room when I took this last test and it was interesting to hear his response when I bounced a few questions off of him. I think I am analytical. He figures I lead with my heart. I see myself as being introverted. He says I'm always finding new people at church. I think that often the answer is all of the above. I like time to think, to explore ideas but I also feel called to find those who are alienated, or new and would benefit from a friendly welcome. I love being able to matchmake friendships. I guess when it comes to types I am a confirmed yes. I am a personality, even if it likes to hide with a good book and whose favourite toys are ideas.

well you not meant to ask other people when you do the test/quiz cos its about YOU not what other people think about you..as other people can misread you.

I know this because even some people here thought I was extroverted when I know I am totally not. finding new people in church isnt a sign that means extroverted its how you relate to others, Im always meeting new people but meeting them more one on one not in huge crowds and I dont feed off others energy.

INFJ is advocate
INFP is mediator

INFJs are very analytical and one of the rarest types.
INFPS are more the poets...dreamers. if we are pasisonate about a cause we would write a story about it rather than present people with a bunch of stats.

In truth I am both. I am a multimedia artist/writer and also graduated as a history major, volunteered with street people and worked as . a medical social worker. That hold all of the above. Also, I did do the test independently. After I finished I asked his opinion. Sometimes we see ourselves very differently than the rest of the world sees us. I think it is important to bridge the gap between the two. As an analytical these assessments are very interesting.

well of course we see the world differently I dont think anyone can get inside our own minds except ourselves. There are enought different combinations of types that its possible that most of the friends you make will be quite different from each other and all your family members are different types as well.

I think its just random the nature of genetics, otherwise we would all be kind of inbred....or clones and it would be just weird.
