Piercings on a Lady (poll)

Personally I like a woman with a pierced septum. As long as she has a big enough hoop in it, it's a great place to hook a leash.

So I guess what all us single ladies REALLY need to do is go around with a sign hanging from the ring in our septum that says, "Looking for a Godly leader..."

Just make sure the leash is studded in diamonds... It would replace the engagement ring.

Ah, I feel convicted... I admit sometimes I deliberately avoid posts that have "needs"... I tend to get so wrapped up in the feelings "misery, pain" of others that I feel emotionally drained. It's not callousness... it's more like self-preservation. So hard to know when to give and when to step back and let someone else. Does that make sense?

God gave each one of us different gifts and talents so that we can respond to "needs" as a church family, not so that one person needs to be everything to everyone. It's good to discover what your particular gifts are and to be discerning on how and when to apply them. It will also lead to a much healthier life.

Heck, I'm Superman and even I don't respond to every "need."

I have seen your compassionate, humble heart in your posts. You show encouragement often. I agree that there are sometimes others who are more qualified to step in re: certain matters than we are. We are also called to seasons of rest, huh?

I was just pondering the ratio of legalistic posts in this thread vs the number of compassionate, encouraging posts in other threads.
