Yes. However Veal described in Bible times is different than todays product.
Young calves in the time of the Bible grazed with other cattle. And may have been fattened up for ceremonial occasions. But,they still roamed freely and grazed.
Todays veal is different because of a meat industry. This in terms of production, the animals age, and dietary standards so to produce different types of veal meat.
Modern veal is a specialized product.

Again,todays meat and milk products are not the same as in Bible times.

But he is still correct. There is nothing in the Bible to support what you have said, and quite a lot that directly contradicts it.
Yes, “veal” in Bible times and modern veal are two completely different things.
In Scripture, a “fattened calf” was simply a young animal that grazed freely with the herd and was fed well for a celebration or sacrifice. It lived a normal cattle life — outdoors, moving, eating grass, developing naturally.
Nothing about it resembled the modern industrial product.
Modern veal is something else entirely:
it’s produced through a specialized meat industry
the calves are much younger
their diet is controlled to alter the meat texture
the environment is restricted to shape the final product
So when Scripture mentions a “fattened calf,” it’s talking about a naturally raised young animal, not the modern veal industry’s product.
