I'm just lightheartedly saying that it's of little importance who tallies up the most reps. It don't mean a thang!

No one is jealous, Joe. I don't even know how many rep powers I have, because I rarely look at them. But people are posting pics of rabbits and Steve Martin on your thread. THAT is NOT "creative" or "artistic".That's just an attempt to gain reps for no valid reason..
I know I was hoping for more "quality",sigh...
I want you to know I'm not blaming you, Joefizz...or the other fellow who started the Christmas rep thread.... I realize that you guys started those as harmless, innocent fun.
I just couldn't sit by and ignore what I saw was happening even though I know you guys didn't mean any harm.

I do not know but apparently it's a "big deal",blue lady bug told me my thread would be shutdown,I thought it was a good idea for challenging people's minds and give a chance for people to get reps or likes if some hadn't gotten even a rep,over this year,or just like a challenge,at least you answered my intended challenge,winerose,thank you for that!

You know what I mean? No one can tell me what I can or can't rep except the "spread some around" notice

I think some people are way under appreciated while others need to be ignored.. obviously not everyone agrees
What's it matter really? They are points that only mean something between the giver and receiver.
If you hold yours dear, great. Others don't have to have such value on theirs. Or be so serious I should say..

The point is, it was NOT a "great idea".. And neither were the other threads that were started and closed in the 4 years I've been here.. Zero's not trying to be a "downer" and neither am I. 
But it's best to let people earn reps for the QUALITY stuff they post, rather than for a silly rabbit picture or Steve Martin meme on a thread who's title is "TRY to get REPS or likes"... That was just an open invitation for people to post anything and get some reps, simply because they knew if they posted, they'd get reps. And THAT is what Zero was concerned about, because like it or not, it IS abuse of the rep system.. Ask any mod, or even Robo, and they'll tell you the same.
Prov910's Christmas rep thread is slightly different because at Christmas, many of us DO give and get reps. But yours pretty much had a neon sign flashing "Post anything silly here and get free rep". That's what people did, and NONE of it was creative or artistic, as you had asked for it to be. Nothing was personally made, it all came courtesy of Google Images.. lol

Hey now, I posted Steve Martin just to be silly. If I gain reps from that post, fine and if I don't gain reps from that post, it's still fine. Was just having a little fun.
So if the management is going to be enforcing a Socialist Rep Power System, how will that work, exactly?

Well i never paid much attention to Rep levels and now i know that they are worth nothing because of that thread..
The people who run this forum should remove the Rep designation because newcomers who are unaware of the corruption of the rep system by that rep thread will assume that a person with a 110 rep is a wise and knowledgeable person when in actual fact they are a scammer who took part in a corrupt thread and made the rep system a joke....
