I've heard stilletos can hurt.
Us women were taught safety skills when alone with a man who might suddenly turn on you.
Locking the car doors, mace, having keys at ready to poke, umbrella (everyone saw what Britney Spears did to the pesky pap's car) having a dog... mobile phone to call a friend...never say directly where you're going to a stranger. Wearing jeans or leggings that are hard to remove.
As for Christians those Bibles are pretty heavy. And we can resist the devil with our words.

i assent. when accosted, never, never take on a deliberate desire to injure for your own satisfaction. just today, i gave a woman advice on defense.

if someone is defending herself or himself in a physical way & especially in the eyes of God, the defense topples over the attack. in essence, you are not guilty of anything. look how many times God told His people to defend themselves in the o.t.
 
huh our national anthem is 'God Defend New Zealand' but since we are a bunch of Islands we already have like a moat around us. So we don't really defend ourselves, we just ask God to do it for us.

sure. i don't see a reason why an army would want to spend time down there fighting.

Unless it's a rugby match where they kick a ball around and tackle each other and suffer concussion....
 
Cricket is probably a better sport, but Australia has more flat land to do that, and it's sunnier there.
Both men and women play these days.
