Not that I'm suggesting that it was bad to post this, but the following link is more targeted at those addicted to porn. The pink cross campaign, though providing some of this, is more focused on creating relationships with those that were(are) actively in the porn industry.

Both, I think are great organizations!

I was kind of unsure about the nature of this "anonymous" poll, but I will say that I struggle daily with porn (sadly why I'm so familiar with both of the above organizations).

I'm a guy, and yes.

Although I will say that I am grateful for not being addicted. I was worse off over a year ago with it. A dramatic turn of events has lead to me developing a degree of disdain for it now. I'm learning to resist, but I haven't come full circle.

Interesting to note that the Miss conception that it's mostly men that struggle with Lust..there is not a BIG difference in the number of woman and men that struggle with Porn. My pastor once told some of the young woman what her mother used to tell her when she was a little girl "Find somebody to play with" -We all need SAME sex friends to Hold us accountable -Find someone you can trust ,pray with,be open with etc.

I think the reason for the misconception is that men are blatant with some of the depravity and perverse things they partake in, because they have become more culturally accepting. Because of this, porn seems to have become deemed as some sort of masculine fetish, so the "fairer" sex would never look at porn!. . . right?

Although it's safe to say still, that more men struggle with a porn addiction than women on a general note.

In general, women have different activities that can also provide them the equivalent to porn. Psycho-sexually speaking, men are visual and women are physical. While for a guy the visual stimulus is enough, for a girl it may simply be a catalyst for the physical. The women I know who have struggled with sexual sin found getting free of porn easier than getting free of the rest of it.

That is not to say that everyone is like that by any means, but it is general enough to be worth sharing I think.

Thinking sexual thoughts isn't lust. And looking at a woman, even looking at her and thinking "she's hot" isn't lust either.

Lust really comes down to a level of control. When fleeting thoughts are developed, when a passing glance becomes more, when we dwell on sexual things that's when lust occurs, and from lust, sin.

It is definitely easier to not lust, than to not desire, or not look or not think. It is still so difficult for many of us to avoid, but not impossible.

I make no bones about having led a sinful life. Porn in itself is an odd thing. In art there are nudes. In life there is women in Bikinis or scantaly dressed then there are hard core movies and magazines. For me it never really created desires that in the end were never full filled, leaving the spirit empty and alone. You hear many Drug addicts say the same thing about their drug use. The devil has many weapons in his arsenal and this one is quite powerful becuase sex is a powerfull need second only to hunger. And yes I answered yes. There is a big diffrence now in that before I would look and not care unrepentant.now I pull away from such things because I know what the end result of that is and that I repent.

as someone who was addicted to those for along time they were very very unhealthy...

Well the fight for me did become a lot easier once God gave me the faith that he's going to me provide with a wife.

I would add that married people have this issue as well so being married doesn't really fix this.
