Hi guys. So I have this ministry at church that I really love. But I also started part time school this month and I'm trying to qualify for a scholarship next year.

With my work schedule (rotating shifts), I end up swapping days and hours with my office colleagues so I can fit school in my calendar. Being part of the ministry means I have to set apart two Sundays a month. That’s 2 days less my possible swap options, in case I need more time for school. That’s not all, though. There are monthly meetings, sound training and group activities. I love the ministry but finishing school has been a life long dream to me. I'm really torn. Whenever I think about having to make the decision, I keep trying to put it off but I also don't wanna drag it any longer if it's gonna stress me out.

I just want to make the right decision, something I will not regret. Please help me pray for wisdom to follow God's lead and strength to go through whatever lies ahead.
 
Have you talked to the pastor and other leaders in the church? Maybe they can help swap or allow you to just fill in for the ministry ( be a helper or have another person step in when you can't do it?)

There are people who can fill in. There are more people waiting to sign up, actually. We have monthly schedules and I do have a few other people to swap with. What I'm trying to avoid is to inconvenience others by always asking to swap schedules. Most of them work shift hours too. In the event that I can't find anyone to swap with, it'll be difficult and I will cause trouble to a lot of people, and to myself.
