as time clicks onto my leaving date of Jan. 3rd I find myself preparing my heart and my mind for this event. It truly will be an event for me. I have been here for 3 years under 3 different names (adjectives) the site has built up my tolerance and has given me opportunities to witness and also tell my testimonies---I enjoyed singing praises and encouraging others to praise God as well. I really am a daily motivator here at home and to my family and I felt I did a pretty good job here in motivating people as well. Lately I have had to fight off spiritual attacks agaisnt my own character by so called brothers and sisters- I dont feel protected here and I think its best to leave and go somewhere where I can have more control over who can speak to me, I like sites that take an interest in protection and standing up for the rights of the users. I have complained but no results came the abuse continues like it doesnt matter. SO i will use sites that have block features cuz we need protection from such attacks since people do not stick up for one another--maybe its because of fear of not being liked---sad really---anyway--it hasnt been ALL BAD--i have met some wonderful GOD FEARING family members here that I will keep in touch with. SO I am thankful for that. Hope you all are blessed in your journey--

It is very important to protect your emotions - and you are making the right decision for yourself.

Some of us have "tougher skins" probably, and don't feel attacked even when we could have reason to feel that way. Sometimes I just brush the words off like they are a fly landing on me - but they never reach my spirit. Nothing ever said to me could do that - rob me of my job and peace. I just don't let it have the power to do so.

This attitude might come as we age - I know I feel differently than I did even 10 years ago when I was a little more sensitive. Yet as I age, even though I am less sensitive about abusive words said to me, I'm also more sensitive to what others are feeling. It used to be more about myself - now it is more about others.

As I said, you are right to know what you need to do - and if protecting your emotions so that you maintain a peaceful heart means that you need to leave a site such as this, then it is good for you to do so.

I only wish you much peace and joy in your life.

It is very sad that that you feel you have to leave in order to find peace of mind because you should feel peaceful and joyful among your Christian brothers and sisters but it just goes to prove we all fall short at times. I'll be sorry to see you go, God bless you.

awwww thanks --- i counsel and am a motivator, and even us motivators can get "worn" down-- Its why God warns us to be careful of what "company " we keep--- I am also a more of a one on one kind of person--Id rather get to know 20-30 then be here to be someones entertainment--- i need encouragement and a protected fellowship --because Im out in teh community spreading the gospel and that alone is tough enough. I was hoping this site would help fulfill that need but lately it just has caused me MORE grief then its worth---Most have salvation here but just come to waste time---anyway I dont waste time--my time is valuable and I use my time very wisely- and I refuse to debate, argue, or have to stand up for my right to praise teh LOrd OPENLY in public--too many men here that want to silence women---its very sad but very religious--a spirit i dont entertain at all- I will continue to pray for that spirit to be abolished and pray they understand this isnt a church setting--they are only brothers to people here and not husbands, preachers, nor ABOVE anyone who has the HS in them. The Holy Spirit is in all who believe in JESUS as their LORD and SAVIOR- SO how can a man tell a woman that she should remain silent on a chat site? Quenching the HS in believers will be judged by JESUS HIMSELF--I fear for those who think they are above others---so sad... one of the main reasons Im leaving--just tired of this attitude here by men in the chat rooms-- I spend most of my time in the bible study room which really should be changed to teh debate room-- cuz thats what they do there 80% of the time--- anyway-- thanks for your comments -and Im happy that you have reached a place that no one can get to you--But i still fight my flesh-im not perfected yet and I need to GUARD MY HEART from such demeaning people---GBU both in your journies with Jesus!!!! know YOUR LIMITS ---:)

I don´t know the nature of the things that are molesting or affecting you, probably you needed some sort of anonimity or detachment and some people here on CC will miss you somehow but, regarding me, being liked or not, will be hanging around untill I be kicked out (it´s been done! But I ignored those kicks).

On the other side, I see I can type ideas or feelings, wether these were liked or not so, in the secular world I´ve found no place like this and, when I was in netlog, I knew no one likes to hear our core ideas or feelings. If CC is gone I will not be gone. A person is what he/she feels or writes... Those things cannot be denied.

It´s sad!

If I left each time I felt I haven´t seen the fellowship I thought I would find I haven´t spent a year on here... I don´t remember asking anyone to shut up or to remain in silence, yet I have felt -several times- it was asked, from me, but I paid too little attention. I think that happened, mostly, on the "living" chat, which is place I seldom spent time, except on the forums.

This "how can a man tell a woman that she should remain silent on a chat site? " is very well connected to Paul´s and his rabinic tradition and, the most I knew my graddad and grabdmom, I know the best way to communicate: By writing? :o
