On the last night of his human life, Jesus said: “You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” (John 15:14) He also said: “If you love me, you will observe my commandments.” (John 14:15) Clearly, there is no better way to honor Jesus Christ than to learn and follow his teachings.

Forty days? I am old and forgetful. But I think the point he was trying to make was that we ought to try to do as Jesus said.Sort of? Wasn't it for forty days?

Great. However, I wonder how many of those who will applaud your comment follow His teachings? Just saying. In my opinion, a lot of folks only follow the teachings of Christ that are in agreement with the ideology of their particular Denomination/Group.
