Hi everyone,

New to this chat but wanted to know what everyone's experience has been in receiving prophecy both from other people and from God himself (dreams, visions, etc) My personal experience has been a bit confusing mostly because of my expectations of when it was going to happen. Most I am still waiting and believing for. Anyone else have that experience?

I'm not much into prophecy. I concentrate on straightening out my life.
 
when getting t through ppl its to be taken with caution. not all gifts are from God plus even if its from God, people often interpret so it may be a bit different from what they think it is or how itll happen.
ive made lots of experiences with all you mentioned. when receiving directly so far it came true.
theres only one prophesy i got that hasnt been fulfilled yet so idk but ill just be patient about it.
 
I've received many. Basically all have been the same except for one that was about my future. And am living that now.
 
I have received many visions and dreams mainly about the end times and the raptures and what is to come but most of it I receive is words he places on my heart to speak
 
As a teen i receieved "prophecies" from "prophets". Twas all a load of horse manure. I don't use God and prophecy like a tarot card reader. I live my life and pray God guides me as I love forward. Prophecy, in modern times, is nothing more than fortune telling.

I would be very careful about receiving prophesy from an individual. Unless that person has an absolutely perfect record that person is not a prophet, especially true if that person does not declare that Jesus is his Lord and Savior. There is usually a thread or two going on in the Bible Discussion Forum about prophecy and other biblical topics, just be aware that some of the members can be very blunt and opinionated. That is sadly what prophecy has become, whenever i hear the (prophets) say the cliche thus saith the lord thing I cringe inside, and also when people openly say their prophets I get an icky feeling inside. I mean if one is a prophet I doubt they need to say so because their fruits will speak for them. Besides dreams and visions is one thing many think comes with being a prophet but that is not true, sometimes yes it can come hand in hand but even if you have prophetic dreams and visions that doesn't mean your a prophet.
