I have a question (fairly new at studying the depths of Christianity and Bible) and I understand that we as Christians believe that only by accepting Christ can an individual be saved. Does this mean that the overwhelming majority of Jews, God's chosen people, will not be saved? Also, I don't understand why God's chosen people, according to Christianity, aren't even believers in the Christian faith?

As paul says in romans 11. They are currently blinded in part. But one day, they will all be saved.

They reject him for the same reason anyone does. Because they want their own God.. And the God of the bible does not live up to that standard..

This is a much debated issue. Best thing you can do is to read all of Paul's Epistles, for he speaks of this in several of them. People believe one way or another on this issue............

What we know is Truth is that Jesus said HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.

NO ONE, NO ONE WILL RECEIVE ETERNAL SALVATION IN ANY OTHER WAY THAN JESUS CHRIST.

The 11th Chapter of Romans is oft times used by those who believe that ALL JEWS will receive eternal salvation EVEN IF THEY DIED IN THEIR SINS AND DENIAL OF CHRIST.............. Has to do with God being able to "graft them back into the tree........" Yes, God is able to do whatever He wills.

HOWEVER, what people omit is the 23rd verse where Paul makes it QUITE CLEAR that there is a specific stipulation that unbelieving Jews MUST MEET to receive eternal life/salvation:

ROMANS !!:

23.) And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.24.) For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

God's chosen people DID respond to Christ. In Romans 9-11 thy are called 'the election of grace'. Those who rejected Him were the unbelievers. They were rejected from the chosen people and seen as Gentiles by God.

It is only through Christ that any man an be saved. All who reject Christ are rejected by God.

Indeed, even in Old Testament days it was only believers who were accepted. Those who followed idolatry were rejected from being God's chosen people

Can you back up your statments, I have studied prophesy and history for many many decades, and I have NEVER HEARD ONE PERSON say ALL JEWS will be saved, whether they died in rejection of Christ or not.

This is called false representation of others belief systems.

No, it has to do with God not being done with his chosen people. and Paul telling us gentiles not to get to proud, that Just as God took them out, he can take us out also. in fact he will when out time is complete.

Actually Lev 26 also gives us the requirement, and paul reiterates it here as you have just shown, in fact he not only sghows that, but he says ALL ISREAL will do that very thing.

either way, They must repent. Which we all believe.

So again, Can you show where any of us believe different?

sorry to turn this honest question into a debate. Cindy ask God, this thread may get out of line real quick. and it could cause you to not want to study, Just seek Gods guidance.

And, with that, I will restrain from arguing this point ONCE AGAIN.

Paul did make clear, that only a remnant of Israel would be saved (Romans 9.27), He then describes that remnant of Israel as 'the election' (the chosen ones). In 11.12-20 it is made clear that they would be joined by Gentile proselytes who also believed in the Messiah, and the unbelieving Jews would be broken of from Israel. A way was however left open for them to repent and believe, becoming a part of the remnant.

The 'all Israel' who would be saved was the Israel represented by the olive tree, all true believers in Christ.

Oh yeah, That says that everyone will be saved no matter what they believed. and it does not say, that in the current age, The people who are called Gods chosen are blinded in part. But some day in the future, the people at that time who are called chosen will all be saved.

Thats called bearing false witness.
and your right, we have discussed this, so you should KNOW WHAT I BELIEVE, and what you stated is WRONG! but you had to say it anyway didn;t you.

you can not get that from what was said, that is just plain foolishness. You should be ashamed of yourself.

and you just proved what I said, that this thread will get out of hand.

As always, you open your mouth, insert your foot, and then go on the attack..............you are not worthy of even responding to...........you are truly a sad person...................

Also, I don't understand why God's chosen people, according to Christianity, aren't even believers in the Christian faith?

Peter speaking of believers in the Christian faith;

1 Peter 2:9

"YOU are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light"

As always, you open your mouth, insert your foot, and then go on the attack..............you are not worthy of even responding to...........you are truly a sad person...................

Please just go. You made a false accusation, I confronted you, You made a false accusation to prove your false accusation. and now your attacking me. and saying its my fault?? (rolls eyes)

today jew is used as a title more than a way of life, Jew is not a region but Jew is a people. The true Jews, not those with just a title.

Please just go. You made a false accusation, I confronted you, You made a false accusation to prove your false accusation. and now your attacking me. and saying its my fault?? (rolls eyes)

Backatcha..............you made the false accusation.........you stuck your foot in your mouth, then you have to go on the attack to try and blow enough hate speech smoke to keep others from seeing what you said.............

All ANYONE has to do is read the OP............Comment #1, THEN read your Comment #2 and then your Comment #5 to see the truth..............you are a sad, truly sad person who is convinced that he is THE ONLY ONE with perfect understanding of all things Scriptural............yet, you are (on these Forums) the quintessential "attack dog." Your MO has always been to demean/degrade, and name call ANYONE who disagrees with you.

For one who professes GRACE ONLY, it is amazing that CHRISTIAN LOVE and HUMILITY are so COMPLETELY foreign to you.

You don't like my comments, put me on your "Ignore List," that is what it is for............

dude, I never stated all jews will be saved no matter what they believe, I stated what Romans 11 says,

What is truly sad is we have had this conversation so many times, and you KNOW I HAVE STATED OVER AND OVER NO ONE WILL BE SAVED UNLESS THEY REPENT, even jews.

So what is it that you are so bent out of shape for?

You made a false accusation, I called you out on it, and now YOUR ANGRY?? WHAT??

again, if some one reads what I said in comment # 2 and even thought that I meant what you said, They could feel free to ask me and allow me to explain. But no. You made a false accusation and now your mad because I called you out on it.

do again, Can you show me where ANYONE has ever said that a jew will be saved no matter what they believed? (think about it for a minute, if they are blinded now and not saved because of it How could I be saying they will be saved later, when their blindness is removed? )

where in that post did I say they will be saved no matter what they believed??

Rom 11:
[SUP]25 [/SUP]For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. [SUP]26 [/SUP]And so all Israel will be saved,[SUP][g][/SUP] as it is written:

All I did was quote scripture. and you have a problem with this??

You have issue my friend!

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2Jn 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2Jn 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Even though you see a debate going on about Romans 11 where Apostle Paul said all Israel will be saved, that is actually true what he said, because it's written in the Old Testament Books of God's prophets, which is where Apostle Paul was pulling from. Many debate this issue because they're not very well studied in those OT Books, but stay mostly in the NT only.

The Jews represent only a portion of the total of the children of Israel, i.e., God's chosen. That's the branch of Israel that Apostle Paul was pointing to in Romans 11 when he showed that God had 'blinded' Israel in part. He said God did this so The Gospel could also go to the Gentiles. The OT prophets reveals that when our Lord Jesus returns, the Jews will mourn for Him like a long lost son, showing that's when God will remove that blindness of Rom.11 He put upon them.

But there's more. In Ezekiel 44 when the future Millennium sanctuary is established in Jerusalem after Jesus' return, we're shown the Levites who went astray when Israel went astray will bear their iniquity. They will be given the duties of keepers of God's House, and will not be allowed to approach Christ in that time. Only the faithful "Zadok" (means The Just) will be able to approach Christ in that time and serve Him at His table.

So it should be obvious that God's Word covers a lot more of what is to occur in the future of Christ's "thousand years" reign of Rev.20, but most of those details are in the OT prophets, which Apostle Peter also told those in Christ to be mindful of. Problem is, not many Christian brethren are mindful of those OT prophets and what all God gave them to write about that future time. Because of this Biblical illiteracy, many brethren are left to create their own doctrines which then creates many divisions in Christ's Church over these type matters.

I started to attempt to walk with God in 2001 and it wasn't until about 2014 that I understood how that walk was to take place. It takes a truly repentant heart to understand His word for us. That means we are not to hold grudges on nonbeleivers and the like. the truth is that people do not follow Jesus correctly is because they love darkness more that light. And sometimes when we walk in a world full of darkness some things may not seem dark but they are and as Christ said if we continue in His word we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.
