Revelation is a vision seen by John. It cannot be interpreted otherwise without running into serious problems.
I'm sorry your having problems.I hope you are able to solve them .Im not having problems myself.
Revelation is a vision seen by John. It cannot be interpreted otherwise without running into serious problems.
can you quote the scripture that says he did not? And while your at it, the scripture that shows where Satan tried to kill jesus as soon as he was born? Can you quote the scripture that says Satan convinced Herod to kill Jesus?
can you quote the scripture that says he did not? And while your at it, the scripture that shows where Satan tried to kill jesus as soon as he was born?
Yet revelation said that as soon as the child was born, the dragon attempted to kill himI can quote the scripture that show who tried to kill Jesus after he was born.Scripture only shows one person .His name is Herod. Not Satan.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
It does not say Satan will seek to destroy him.
It says Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
This is Satan,It's a shame I don't believe anyone got the point of the thread.
Herod is described as having seven heads and ten horns.
Herod received a deadly wound.
Herod's deadly wound has been healed.
13 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Yet revelation said that as soon as the child was born, the dragon attempted to kill him
Now resolve those two things..
so then he must have been under the control of the dragon correct?I have.I quoted scripture showing the only person who sought to kill Jesus.
The only person.scripture says tried to kill him.
This is Satan,
Satan has used many people..
Scripture has to agree.. So you need to explain how satan tried to kill the child after he was born..
so then he must have been under the control of the dragon correct?
Because there is no other explanation
Rev 12: 12 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.Scripture does not say Satan tried to kill Jesus.Scripture says Herod tried to kill Jesus.
Why cant you simply believe what is written? Is there something forbidding you from believing the testimony of Mathew?
16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
These are facts. In a vision,Herod could appear as a seven headed beast. But the above verses are actual events showing who tried to kill Jesus.
lol.Scripture does not say Herod was under the control of satan.Scripture actually shows Herod was king and in control. He was king of the Jews and he wanted to keep it that way.He was not about to bow to any other king of the Jews.
Herod was in control much like Benjamin netanyahu is in control .If netanyahu decides to have some christians imprisoned amd killed then he can give those orders as his predecessor Herod gave orders.
Rev 12: 12 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.
lol.
Satan is bound for 1000 years because he deceives the nations.
If you do not understand Satan holds sway over many rulers. I do not know what to say
According to Jesus,Pontis Pilate received his power from above.Do you also claim that Satan made Pontis Pilate order the crucification of Christ after Pontis Pilate was given power from above to do so?lol.

The prophet John said it was the dragon,This was a vision.
Herod could appear in a vision as a seven headed dragon.
The reality of who tried to kill Jesus is in the gospel.

I don;t have toSo you say.
You have not posted any scripture supporting you claim that Satan told Herod anything.
Who exactly does scripture say attempted to kill the Messiah after he was born,?
Revelation 12
12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
It refers to Isreal (the woman) Who gave birth to the child (jesus) and who later will be attacked by the beast. But God will protect them.Hello
The woman in Rev 12 cannot be referring to the birth of Christ since Revelation is about revelations pertaining to the time of the end.
One possible and reasonable suggestion is that it is referring to the "birth" of the kingdom.
