Okay, hmm, lets see...

You came here pretending to check into Christianity so you can "come to the truth"...
but then you IMMEDIATELY start an apologetics debate about Islam.

Maybe you could just be honest about your intentions next time,
and just say you're here to debate with Christians?

Thats why in the question i posed who is Jesus peace be upon him on about in that verse? I didnt say prove to me its not Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him. Im here to learn and share knowledge

just going into too much depth and making up ur own kind of opinions, lets look at the clear and obvious facts.

I can go into depth because there are some very deep similarities and types. You choose very bland similarities that many people have with Moses.

Not everything about the Lord Jesus and the prophet Moses will be exactly the same because Jesus is greater than Moses. But if you do look at the circumstances around there birth, there are more similarities. At the time of Moses the king gave an order that babies be killed. At the time of the Lord Jesus, the king gave orders that babies be killed. God preserved both of them as children. He even had an angel instruct Joseph to take the Lord Jesus to Egypt and bring him out from there, Egypt, the place the propeht Moses lived as a baby.

Moses peace be upon him was born naturally, so was Muhammed peace be upon him. NOT jesus peace be upon him because he was born miracle. Prophet Moses married and had children, Jesus did not marry and of course did not have any children. The ministry of Jesus, peace be upon him, lasted three years and did not see the laws of God establish in his time. Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, preached the law of God for many decades and saw in his time, the law of God established. Comparing Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, with Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, brings out an amazing similarity.

Muhammad's birth was natural, he was married and had children; preached the law of God for 23 years and saw in his own time God's Law established in his land.

I am married. I have children. If I live long enough, I could preach for 23 years. That doesn't make me 'the prophet like unto Moses.'

You pick some the blandest similarities that make Moses similiar to many prophets. The promise was that Yahweh would raise up a prophet like Moses from among their brethren. Stretching that to include their distant relatives the Ishamelites IF indeed Muhammad was an Ishmaelite and not an Arab from one of the other ethnic groups, is quite a stretch indeed. There is certainly nothing about this passage that would cause a 'nuetral' inquirer to associate the prophecy with Muhammad.

another important word is "brethren", if it was Jesus, the word would have been "children" because Jesus, peace be upon him, came from the children of Isaac.

A fellow Israelite is referred to as a 'brother' in various places in the Torah. I can think of an occasion where Edomites are also referred to as brothers. I know of no place where Ishamelites are referred to as 'brothers' and it is unlikely that the Israelites would have thought about the Ishmaelites when they read this. Midianites are mentioned, and genetically, they may have been about as closely related as Ishmaelites, but where are they called brethren to the Israelites?

If you are a good Muslim, though, you should believe the words written in the Gospel. We sent 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) confirming the Taurat (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurat (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2). S. 5:46 Al-Hilali & Khan; cf. S. 57:2

I know some Muslims claim the Gospel was changed. But if you do some research, you can see that the books available today were the same as were available when Muhammad was born. If you say it was not Jesus' book, then how can you say that the Al Koran was a book given through Muhammad. He did not write it down. His disciples listened to him and wrote what he said. The current version was collected from various people and codified into smaller books by Muhammad's friend and father-in-law, Abu Bakr, wasn't it? It is also comprised for smaller books. The four Gospels are smaller books recorded by Jesus' disciples. If you are a good Muslim, you should believe what is written in the Gospels.

Jesus said,
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
(NIV)

You have a funny way of "learning". Learning is not about spreading Islamic lies and going on about the Quaran being perfect, which it is far from being perfect.

You either beleive what Jesus said about himself along with the prophecy which He fulfilled, that he is the SOn Of God, or you dont. IF you don't do what Christ commanded, then you will die in hell.

Yes it was obvious from the first post.

I wish people would stop feeding the Islamic Troll. All they are doing is wasting time. This muslim has no intention of learning anything, its the same as the atheists, they ask question after question jumping alll over the place, then give speeches about how they are right, then jump to more questions and most of the time without even bothering reading peoples replies .

To Yahuada,

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Was Jesus deceived by thinking he was equal to God?

If so, then he had sinful thoughts and is no Savior.
If not, then His thoughts were true and He is God.

the Quran I tried reading it before but the contrditions made it hard to read gave me a headache
(4:78)
".... If some good befalls them, they say "This is from A". But if evil, they say "This is from thee" (O prophet). Say: "All things are from A. In one place everything comes from A in the quran.
Then said
(4:79)
"Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from A. But whatever evil happens to thee, is from thyself"

why people believe

6:12"It is they who have lost their own souls, that they will not believe"
(10:100)
"No soul can believe except by the will of A

can he not make up his mind.

Then the Quran will say not to lie, but then changes that to you just don't lie to other believers.

The quran talks about the virgin birth
A Mary, daughter of ‘Imran, who guarded her private parts, then We breathed therein of Our spirit. And she believed in the words of her Lord and His Book, and was one of the obedient” (66.12), and, “And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our spirit and made her and her son a sign for the peoples” (21.91

then said our Spirit so does Islam have more then one God?
Jesus / Yeshua's birth was a gift from God with no earthly father in both the Bible and the quran would this not make him greater then all other prophets?
the prophet of the quran has earthly parents and therefor born in sin right?

he was banned........

their teachings are open ended for violence against anyone that does the believe like them. But if you pay them taxes, and money, then you can live is some false peace with them. Until they need a quick trip to their their idea of heaven with their virgin mermaids , or their religious leaders given them the signal for violence , then in that case they just kill anyone not like them.

you are a troll daniel; thinking you can evangelise christians by pretending to be a seeker

every prophet was a fulfillment of that promise but the final fulfillment was always jesus the son of God who has nothing to do with isa

Mohamet was a treacherous liar who liked little girls. how old was his wife? 9 or 12?

Peace be upon you all,

Im Muslim and iv been studying the Bible for some time and have been talking to Christians because i want to learn more about religions and come to the truth. if a christian could answer this i would be grateful! thanks!

Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise for them a Prophet like you (Moses) from among their brethren and will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them, all that I command him."

here God is telling the people that he will raise a PROPHET like Moses right? from among their brethren? and God will put words in his mouth? and he shall speak unto them? all that GOD commands him? CORRECT?

Could someone clarify who and which Prophet is God talking about? Thanks!

You never know. Someone trying to promote another religion could potential repent. Saul of Tarsus was pretty adamant about his religions beliefs before he came to faith.

hmm okay but isnt Jesus known as son of God or God? but in this verse it says "Prophet". Also " ... like you (Moses)". if we learn, we will see Jesus peace be upon him was very unlike Prophet Moses, peace be upon him. Prophet Moses' birth was natural whereas the birth of Jesus was miraculous without a father to a virgin, peace be upon her. Prophet Moses married and had children, Jesus did not marry and of course did not have any children. please clarify, much appreciated.

Jesus had the same roles as moses. He brought the word of God to the people and he was a great priest just as moses was. Let's look at the definition of prophet.

proph·et (prft)
n.
1. A person who speaks by divine inspiration or as the interpreter through whom the will of a God is expressed.
2. A person gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression.

Jesus and moses both had the same characteristics the only difference was moses wasnt God, but Jesus was. Moses only made earthly (flesh) atonement but Jesus made an antonement before God himself in the spiritual realms (at the actually throne of God.) So Jesus was a prophet of God as well as the son of God. Just like we are sons of God thru the joint heirs of Jesus Christ.

The bible does say that a man doesn't have to get married but if they can't control their sexual desires its better for that man to look for a wife. Paul wasn't married Cuz he was to busy fulling the work of God.

Okay, so God can do anything? are you sure my friend? CAN God forget? CAN God make mistakes? if he cant, you agree that this cannot be God as he cant forget neither make mistakes? right? but if you disagree then you agree that the stament you made "God can do anything" is wrong and completely false my friend

Let me answer you by asking you this question, Can perfect make mistakes? and yes God can forget, forget the sins you made after you prayed for forgiveness, he remembers the sins no more. The God I serve makes no mistakes, We do, and if you disagree, then your eyes are not open much. If you agree? then you will know doubt comes from the enemy, supposing you are now saying there is now enemy? again if you disagree, then your eyes needs to open. My friend, who is not my friend, who says that I am his friend, when I don't know him as a friend. Agree? lol

that refers to Jesus Christ

1 Timothy 2

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

my friend, if he was GOD, he cannot be a prophet at the same time, because a prophet means someone sent BY GOD, but GOD is GOD he cannot be sent, please explain THANKS! also you didnt answer my second part, how was Jesus peace be upon him like Moses peace be upon him? Jesus did not marry, Moses did, Jesus was born miraculously, Moses was born naturally..? these are just some main examples, there are more also

Jesus, like Moses, freed the slaves. Moses is a physical picture of the greater spiritual. All are under the bondage
and slaves to sin. Moses went down to Egypt and liberated them. Jesus went down to earth and set us free.
And Jesus isn't finished yet.
