Then, again, God continued to send His messengers and prophets to teach and guide
people the true religion, as it was constantly being replaced by the innovations of mankind.
I will add/say Mohammad is not believed to have been a prophet of God by the vast majority
of Christians, though there is some confusion in places, as some claim to be Christian but
then defend Islam as if it was from God, and some even call themselves, or are called,
Chrislamists. It is clearly syncretic just like Catholicism attempts to reconcile pagan
beliefs into their dogmas according to Protestant beliefs. Islam and Christianity are not
compatible. Islam denies God has a Son, for one thing. They reject the Deity of Jesus Christ,
claim Jesus was not crucified, that someone else was put to death in His place. The crucifixion
and resurrection of Jesus Christ cannot be removed from Christianity.

Dear Bataal, I worded this post (<= link) wrong. Peter said to Jesus, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Matthew 16:15-17 But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered,
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For
this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven." Each must answer this question.

He was the expected Messiah, though. They had awaited His coming for a long time...
And as said earlier, Jesus was promised from as early as Genesis 3:15.
He was purposed from before the foundation of the world.

Yes. Jesus spoke of these prophets also because many of them were killed by the people as explained in
some of the parables, most notably the vineyeard owner as told in  Matthew 20:1–16. The vineyard is Israel.
As English is not my native language, is there a difference between messengers and prophets? or the same, both sent by God to call people to God?

Jesus is also called a prophet
Really? It's interesting that Jesus is also called a prophet in Christianity. I thought he was considered only God in Christianity.
This is new information for me. Thank you

Biblically "Adam" was Created by God (gen 1:26), and subsequently "Eve" Was created from essence removed from Adam (The Rib analogy Gen 2:20-23).
Biblically true.
"Paradise" is not the "Garden of Eden"
Adam and Eve were ALWAYS "resident on earth" as was the "Garden of Eden"
In Islam, there is a similar belief, as stated in the green bold quote above. That's interesting. Thank you very much

You are welcome. Jesus is called many things. I cannot find the larger
image of this right now... I hope you can read some of it. I'll post the text.

The "Garden" and "Paradise" are not the same and completely unrelated.

Your "belief" is totally wrong and unsupported Biblically.
You are right. I knew that the Garden and Paradise are not the same from this site.
And yes, as I understand from some of the answers here, it is not supported biblically, but it is supported by the Qur'an

It is contested whether prophets and apostles etc still exist to this day. People
who claim to be an apostle or a prophet face much derision from others here.

I am not convinced either way. I mean, some say they are and I don't believe them,
I completely agree with you %1000000 that there are no prophets or messengers existing to this day.
The statement I mentioned earlier, which I will requoted below, let’s say it refers to the period from Adam or after until the prophet Jesus. I mean the time when prophets and messengers were sent during ancient times. What do you think? Can this be agreed?

Thus,

it was that way new religions have emerged over time as a result of differing interpretations and distortions of the original teachings. It is believed that in response to these developments, God has sent messengers and prophets to call people back to the original, pure form of religion. Nevertheless, these messengers and prophets have often faced challenges, including contempt and derision from their people. There are accounts within religious texts of God punishing the wicked with calamities as a means of divine intervention. Then, again, God continued to send His messengers and prophets to teach and guide people the true religion, as it was constantly being replaced by the innovations of mankind.

Agreed?

One more thing that I don't understand in your post (green bold):

because all are blinded by the god of this world
(Satan)
, taken captive to his will, slaves to sin, lovers of darkness etc
Is Satan considered the god of this world in Christianity?
Can you explain this, as it confuses me?

It means those who are not born again of the Spirit of God live according to the flesh within which
no good dwells. The natural man, he not yet born again, is hostile to God, a slave to sin, suppresses
the truth, is a lover of unrighteousness, blinded to the truth of Christ, incapable of obeying, as
he is taken captive to the will of the devil. God needs to change the heart of the man before he
can choose to surrender his life to Him and love Him. From a general internet search:

The phrase “god of this world” (or “god of this age” [NKJV]) indicates that Satan is the major influence
on the mind-set expressed by the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of the majority of people.
His areas of influence also encompass the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce.

I still have the issue of not being able to choose the reaction options which appear empty. Only 'like' is available for me, which limits my ability to express my thoughts. There are some answers that are very useful and informative.

I prefer prophet, as it seems more precise, but messenger is also used.

106 Bible results for “messenger” from King James Version.

Malachi 3:1
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come
to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

Any god or messenger that has lied has proven to not be God or a messenger of God. Jesus did not lie about dying.

Thank you, you are a very nice guy, very respectful which makes you a joy to speak with, and I have enjoyed being able to answer your questions as much as I can. Your English is very good! My reactions are not working right now either, but I hope to fix that soon by using the other browser which just went kaput. I am trying to go out for coffee because I need the walk...

For me, I have never believed that any Christians consider Muhammad (peace be upon him) to be a prophet. If there were, it would seem strange and funny.
