Well, probably my favorite family memory is family movie time, or when we went to Kentucky and saw the Creation Museum. Wonderful place. I would recommend it to anyone.

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child?

I don't know that I ever actually believed this, but I made up a story to entertain my family when I was about...8 or 9. I had this elaborate tale about how I was actually a princess from Jupiter, how I'd actually hatched from an egg, how the spot on Jupiter isn't actually a huge storm, but the palace I lived in, cleverly disguised as...you know, whatever. I told this story, and added to it, so often that I might've started to believe it a little.

I'm...glad....that I grew out of it. You know, a few years back.

I read this as "that my grandfather had buried a steamer trunk in his old house." And I was all, "Oooh, what a good mystery! I wonder why he stopped believing it...."

And then I read it again, correctly, and was like..."Ah- ohh I see...."

It's actually an oilfield slang term. I don't work in the oilfields, I just felt led to use the name when I signed up.

One of my friends is really into swing dancing and she is dying for me to go. Im like, eh well MAAAAYYYYBEEEEEEEE.


If I do go, it would certainly not be for me.



I'm of the belief that if someone Im in a relationship loves doing something, I will learn to do it, learn to enjoy it and whatever, because I would hope they could do the same with me. And I'm ALL ABOUT the whole doing stuff together thing.

Dancing is a funny thing, and, full disclosure, I don't dance now, but, I have in the past and it was fun, I danced all through college, with all the girls on Friday/Saturday night dances.

LiamsON, let's rewind even further, to 5th grade, and, my teacher taught us how to square dance. Now, I was a soccer player, track, baseball, basketball guy at this time. Dancing? No way.

But, I really had no choice, it was something my teacher put into our daily schedule for an hour a day. And, guess what ! B-I-N-G-O, I LOVED it ! It was fun learning songs and moves and, although I don't watch Dancing With The Stars, as, it's just not competitive enough for me, I can relate to the moves they're doing. And, I bet, I just betcha, I would like that kind of dancing, too.

So................you never know, bro, 'til you go It might even be 'all you.'
Important to always keep in mind ,too, the Lord leads, having an open mind to His leading could make Him want you to find dancing a spectacular art, that you're actually quite good at

seoulFOUND: Green N Nice: Thank you so much for your encouraging words about my threads. It got to a point where they took so much time and energy that I would stop writing and actually feel tired!! But, if even one or two people are helped by the discussion, you're right--it's totally worth it--and I will try to allow God to lead me through some ideas. Would you know, I am such a nerd that I actually keep a small book of ideas for threads? At current count, as I flip through, I actually have about 50 questions written down... But haven't been able to ruminate them as much as I'd like before I make the attempt at another 40-answer poll.

Where's your favorite place to be? Why?

On/in the water, preferably a lake or the ocean. It calms me. I love the sound and power of it.

To all - When is the last time you laughed so hard, your sides hurt?
I was playing pool with a couple of firefighters. One guy bought a new cue stick and was sharing it with another one, both were pretty big guys. The guy who owned the stick was holding it behind his back with both hands and must have had a pretty good grip on it because when the second guy’s turn came up, he grabbed the stick and we all heard a VERY loud CRACK. The looks on their faces were priceless!
The owner was like: Did he just break my stick?
The other guy: Oh crap! Did I just break his stick????
I couldn’t help it. I started laughing uncontrollably. Laughed so hard I fell out of my chair and onto the floor.

Rachelsedge - I know what it's like to feel like you're living in someone's shadow, especially if it's someone you love. You've talked about it before; is this still a struggle for you? Is it a daily fight to tell yourself that this is not the case, or are you done with it and past it now?

It was definitely a huge issue for me in middle school and high school, with me feeling in the shadow of my twin. We went to the same college, though we had different friend groups so it was less of a struggle there, though...it did still sometimes happen. I'm not around her much anymore, we live in different states(sadly), and I have grown more as a person, so it's not nearly as big of a struggle as it used to be. It hardly is at all anymore, actually. There are still some pangs of it...but they usually pass quickly. Shouryu, do you mind sharing your story on that? You don't have to. But since you know what it's like, I'm interested.

Rachelsedge: Did you go out on your sassy glasses and red lipstick girl date yet? I'm eager to hear about it! Sounds like fun.

Not yet! I'm not sure when that will be. The next two weeks are pretty busy for us, so it may not be for a while. But, I am prepared, now! I posted that picture on Facebook, and some friends suggested adding a big floppy hat and pearls, which I think will look even more Hollywood glam! I'll let you all know when we do that.

Apples. I know that might be kind of...dull. But, there are so many different kinds, and I like them all.

I just can't eat them. Well, I can, but then I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. From the inside. But I don't have that problem if the apples are cooked, or when I drink apple juice.

Due to the inability to eat as many tasty apples as I want, my next favorite, and more edible, fruit is...uhh...you know, I don't really like fruit that much. I'm more of a veggie type girl.

Chainhand--I guess it's good that you picked this particular term as opposed to some of the others. Just think of the riots that would have been incited had the username "Bell Nipple" showed up in the forums!

So, MR. CHAIN, what inspired you to make kimchia and why do you say it didn't turn out that well? I was in Korea in 1994 and one thing that amazed me was the fact that Koreans can make kimchi out of ANYTHING--pickles, radishes, carrots... Why, I bet they could even make kimchi out of petunias, cacti (would this be the proper plural term for more than one cactus?), and your houseplants if you don't keep them under careful watch.

Catherder--you asked what I'd do if I had the Super Power of turning invisible. Most likely, I would use it to take other people's chocolate while they're not looking. Yes, I realize that's a very boring an uninspiring answer but to be honest, I never wanted invisibility as a super power... Too creepy in some ways. And, maybe it's because I've often FELT invisible, and in some ways, wanted to be seen. People often view us... but don't really SEE.

Although... it might be fun to pull some pranks, such as driving down the road and being invisible. I might have given poor Jullianna a fright when she stopped my car... and "no one" was in the driver's seat!

I've actually always been much more partial to the super powers of being able to fly and shoot laser beams out of my eyes because 1. I could cook my own food, anytime, anywhere, and 2. people might think twice before they said something mean to me.
