I pray to the Lord to come and take us home everyday.I tell Him that I understand that this may be a selfish request, but none the less,I'm ready to go.We as believers were not appointed for wrath, but to watch the news and headlines of our current day you can clearly see the wrath that's to come and already here when you can match these headlines to scripture.I picture 7 years out on everything,on how quickly things change in this world in a period of 7 years,to remind myself of just how close we are to the 7 years of Tribulation.Alot closer than we were 7 years ago for sure.I'm holding on for Jesus but I tend to get a little overwhelmed from day to day, especially the days we are in right now.Your kingdom come,Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven dear Jesus.

Amen! Lord Jesus come quickly. (y)
As I grow older, time seems to flow by at a faster pace. In some ways, that is a good thing. I joyfully anticipate the Rapture as well.
Welcome to CC, Cabman! :)(y):coffee:

Every Christian, on a very real level, should desire for the Lord to come. After all, we are sojourners here. C S Lewis famously wrote...

If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.

But God also has us still here for a reason. We have the greatest privilege of being ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. As such, we have a ministry of reconciliation.
The missionary C T Studd penned...

Only one life twill soon be past.
Only what's done for Christ will last.

Yes, the small amount of time we have left until He returns is very important indeed. It is the only time in all of eternity that we have available to make preparations and point others in the right direction.
Matthew 6:
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

it sounds like you are worried. "people either worry or worship". you didn't create the bad news so you are not guilty. we can all pray for any bad news situation. each 1 of us is either a part of the solution or a part of the problem. hence, a lesson lingo i invented: "Be not problem pondering but solution solving"!

CABMAN 50 Amen to the LOVINGKINESS of the Lord in your scripture in Psalms! We can be assured of one thing, we are much closer to the end then at the beginning! And if we truly believe this, then consider this, an angel of the Lord comes to you and says to you that you have one week left to live, would you change anything in your life??? LOL

For many and I include myself in this we have been done wrong by parents, and so-called friends, etc... FORGIVE THEM!!!! I know!!! How hard that is!! It took me several years after receiving Jesus to forgive my earthy dad, but when I did the Lord answered my prayers, on healing and others things. We never want anything to block our prayers to Jesus, but there are many things which can IF!!!! we allow them!

Sometimes people you forgive will not forgive you, that is on them NOT YOU ANYMORE!! You did your part! I had a few that would not forgive me in my past and some with good reason to. Why you may have good reason as well, but do it!!! Let Jesus whom you say you love, pour forth from you!( John 7:38) That living water flows from!!!!!!! LOVE!!! One's faith CANNOT WORK!!!! without it!!! ( Gal 5:6)

I learned this the hard way because there were some people the Lord wanted me to go to ask forgiveness, I was ah shall I say very slow at!!! Loll BUT!!! when I did, I really felt the Lord 'inner as well as outer peace!! You will to brothers and sisters!! For no one is promised tomorrow, therefore do you best in Christ now, so you will have no regrets like I did! And above all!!! Remain thankful!!!! For this is God's very will for us every day!!! (1 Thess 5:18)! Blessing to you!

Things will get unimaginably worse but God's grace will match it.

We all long to be with the Lord forever. Hi.:)
