There is a human component in the recognition of reconciliation, but not in the accomplishment of it.And the verse I quoted proves there is a human component to reconciliation
There is a human component in the recognition of reconciliation, but not in the accomplishment of it.And the verse I quoted proves there is a human component to reconciliation
You misunderstood what Paul said. Christ died 2000 years ago. None of us was alive when Christ died. Therefore, when Paul says that Christ died while we were enemies, he is talking about himself and his Jewish contemporaries. One of the reasons why everyone Christ died for are reconciled to God by His Death only, even while they are enemies or unbelievers , is because there is no sins against God's Law imputed to them, Christ's death has paid in full for them, and God has nothing against them, even while they themselves are enemies and unbelievers.
So its impossible for unbelievers whom Christ died for, to at anytime be considered one of the unbelievers pointed out here Jn 3:18 or Jn 3:36 !
Those are only unbelievers Christ did not died for and did not reconciled to God by His Death !
Right. Christ is the sole basis for our reconciliation -- if we want it.There is a human component in the recognition of reconciliation, but not in the accomplishment of it.
Yes it is, u are in unbelief then Rom 5:10That isn't accurate
More unbeliefYou misunderstood what Paul said. Christ died 2000 years ago. None of us was alive when Christ died. Therefore, when Paul says that Christ died while we were enemies, he is talking about himself and his Jewish contemporaries.
Why this game? Am I in unbelief simply for disagreeing with you? I don't think so.More unbelief
Try improving your argument.Yes it is, u are in unbelief then Rom 5:10
You disagreeing with a stated Truth in scripture Rom 5:10Why this game? Am I in unbelief simply for disagreeing with you? I don't think so.
Where did I disagree with the passage? You disagreeing with a stated Truth in scripture Rom 5:10
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
You say this reconciliation is insufficient, it lacks mans will to complete it. Thats unbelief
Where u think ? You said in so many words, the reconciliation isnt complete until man does something.. Do you deny that ?Where did I disagree with the passage?
I agree it's through His death we were reconciled, but if you skip back to chapter 5 it's clear that the way we enter into this grace is through faith.
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:1-2
It's like if I said I have a crisp $1,000,000 dollar bill I want to give to you. It's yours, I've already made plans to give it to you; but you must meet me at such and such a place and at such and such a time to receive it. If you don't have faith and proceed to the meeting you'll never receive it.
[Eph 1:4-5 KJV]You weren't alive when Christ died.
Okay.God did not say that He wants to give it to you; He said that He gives it to you - big difference between the two. No action or choice possible or permitted as pertains to the receiving of the $1,000,000 for those to whom it is intended, and thanks be to God that it is so!
Why would I deny the meaning of the word reconcile? Your view that Christ accomplished reconciliation alone is a contradiction in terms. Reconciliation involves two parties.Where u think ? You said in so many words, the reconciliation isn't complete until man does something. Do you deny that ?
Again you dont believe the word of God Rom 5:10Why would I deny the meaning of the word reconcile? Your view that Christ accomplished reconciliation alone is a contradiction in terms. Reconciliation involves two parties.
Granted, we were chosen before the foundation of the world. But consider that God is creating our story. We are the hero of our own story. Our road to Salvation, we experience moment by moment and decision by decision.[Eph 1:4-5 KJV]
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
I believe what Paul said. I don't believe your interpretation of it.Again you dont believe the word of God Rom 5:10
let me ask it another way. Why do you believe the first-person plural "we" in Romans 5:10 indicates people who lived after Jesus?Again you dont believe the word of God Rom 5:10
