REFLECTION

Lord help me be a light for You,
In all I do and say,
Let me reflect Your countenance
In each and every day.

Teach me to live my life for You,
In purity of heart,
No hold on earth and earthly things,
Each day a new, fresh start.

In valleys or on mountaintops,
Lord Help me make the choice,
To live for You and not this world,
To follow, Lord, Your voice.

You give the gift of choosing Lord,
How we each live this life,
To live the life You lived Lord,
Or we can live in strife.

When others gaze into my soul
I pray they just see You,
Your love, Your heart, Your sacrifice -
Your walk must be there too.

So take my hand and lead me Lord,
Along the path You’ve made,
I rest secure in Your strong hand,
As You Lord, lead the way.

THE MASTER LOCKSMITH

Silence is a deadly weapon
make no mistake my friend,
It crouches in dark shadows
It sets a fatal trend.

It destroys friends and friendships,
It shatters love in song,
It tears down solid unions,
Leaving us alone.

It puts us in a prison
As silence shuts the door
We are alone with just our thoughts,
In pain forever more.

There is a key that opens
These doors of solid steel,
It is the Master Locksmith
When at His throne we kneel.

He opens doors to all our rooms,
Of anger, rage, and doubt.
He fills the silence with His Word,
His whisper - now a shout!

Sing songs of praise - lift voices high,
The door is flung wide open,
Walk through my friend to victory,
Your chains have all been broken!
