Through the New Covenant, we are freed from the penalty of sin (death penalty) and receive divine grace to overcome the power of sin (this is a reference to Dr. Neil Anderson's freedom in Christ ministry). A free pardon of sin, may not be the same as an acquittal, but that's a theology issue. James said, because of Jesus, "Mercy triumphs over judgment," but this does not excuse all accountability, and as Paul said, should never be a license to be reckless, since as Jesus said accountability increases with revelation and understanding, even under the protection of the "veil" of creation.

I believe this another one of Jesse Morrell's false teachings.
You would be wise to abandon
Jesse's ship and learn the Gospel of Christ Jesus who bore the sins of mankind and paid the penalty of sin and conquered death
so that those who trust and believe in His work for them can receive eternal life.

Actually, it doesn't matter because God has an elect group of believers, and the atonement is only effective for THEM.
So, I don't want to waste real estate defending this, but I have done so on the thread mentioned above.
How do I explain the "all" reference? My explanation is that it is talking about all kinds of men, not Jews. That's really the only way you can reconcile all of Scripture. I believe the atonement ACTUALLY SAVED the elect. It did not simply make salvation possible for all.
Matthew 20:28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
