Hi everyone! First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Yanna and well the title says it all. I am in a relationship but I am confuse. The reason is because I am a girl, and I am in a same sex relationship. Don't judge me please. Me and my partner already talked about this that we have to stop because we are commiting a sin. She doesn't want to let go not because she doesnt believe in God but because she's thinking that nothing is wrong. As long as we love each other and we are not hurting anyone then she said, nothing is wrong but I already explained it to her and I shared some bible verse to her. and now I am torn between my emotion and my thinking. But thing that I want to follow is God thats why I want to put an end to this relationship. Can I ask for some more bible verse and some explanation from you guys. Thank you so much!

Hello ,
I think it is important you know that God knew you as you were being formed in your mothers womb. God desired that you have life and life more of it. The devil plays with our emotions because they are very subjective and when the world is all but abandon the very word of God the state is Confusion. Truth is this kind of relationship does not work . this is why when we are caught with " I want to follow God" yet I want to do what I want to do because it feels right.

You know . no one has to tell you. Your parents love you and that will not change however God too loves you and HIS word will not change .

If you're wanting Bible verses to "convince her", that's good, but that isn't the first step.

The first step is for you to get out of the relationship.

If you know it's wrong, you need to put it behind you.
Anytime anyone is any kind of sin, we need to get away from the sin, and the sinful situation, just to begin to clear our heads and heal. So if you're convicted about this, you need to take it seriously, and put some distance between you, so you can begin to heal.

She is going to want to pull you back into the relationship.
So if she needs Biblical counseling, and scripture, it's best if it comes from someone else.
You need to first attend to your own soul, and your own spiritual well being.
If you're convicted about this, you need to remove yourself from the situaion... only then can you clear your head, and heal, and be removed from the temptation so you can grow spiritually.

If you're serious about this, you need to get out.

I would add to what Maxwel already stated. You don't need Bible verses to convince her, you need Bible verses to convince you. You already know in your heart that what you are doing is wrong. Don't try to convince her; that isn't your job. Just end the relationship and seek knowledge and understanding from Jesus... because He created you and knows you better than you know yourself. :)

But thing that I want to follow is God thats why I want to put an end to this relationship.
At this stage you don't need Bible verses. A simple decision to walk away is all that is required. You already know what should be done. So politely say goodbye and move on.

Let's look at other sexual sin, take pedophiler for example. Let's say there's a thirty year old with a five year old. Would you accept him saying "As long as we love each other and we are not hurting anyone then nothing is wrong."?

What if it was beastiality? What if a man had sexual relations with his horse, and wanted to legally marry his horse? Would you accept him saying "As long as we love each other and we are not hurting anyone then nothing is wrong."?

What if a murderer and a suicidal person met online and agreed to carry out a murderous scene? Is it fine to you since it is consensual and don't involve others?

Sin (which is only a matter of God's opinion, not mankind's) is always wrong, always evil. If you step into a clean house, white carpet, furniture, and walls, with a bucket of mud mixed with pig's blood, and splash it all around the area, you have physically defiled that area.

In the same way, when you sin you spiritually defile the area (tainted). A nation overcome with homosexuality comes to ruin, is attacked, or becomes slaves. Therefore your sin effects us all. Just like when Joseph brother's sinned against him and against God, look how many thousands of people were effected by it, became slaves, we're beaten, even killed.

Your sin does not effect only you.
