These are two of the "essential nonessentials" for me: an appreciation of literature, and some taste in music (preferably someone who sings or plays an instrument).

There are a lot of things about Christianity that are musts, but I'm not gonna put my entire list up here on the net for anyone to view :p

I did not say it was one way complete and total adoration. It is mutual, however my complete and total adoration is a bit overwhelming. So yes, I am asking for a lot when I ask to be allowed to completely and totally adore and be completely and totally adored.

Oh, I know. I thought you were simply making reference to the Pygmalion-Galatea thing - which actually explained Galatea's post.

Nor did I mean anything [ harsh ] by my statement to Galatea -- it was strictly meant as a playful tease. And, the 'Wink' emoticon was intended to indicate that the 'Stick Out Tongue' emoticon was not intended seriously - but rather - playfully.

I felt certain that - even if there was any underlying 'serious' point to your post ( #22 ) - you were [ mostly ] just being humorous ( based on the Pygmalion-Galatea thing - even though I did not think of that at the time ). My post ( #24 ) was strictly meant to be humorous. It was not in any way intended to judge you. I took your statement to be humorous. I made my reply in like fashion.

Please forgive me if I "diminished" the fun you were having with it. I only meant to add to it...

And -- rest assured -- that, if you were my wife - I am quite certain that you would recieve endless 'adoration' in the form of a 'shower' of daily love-and-affection - about as much as I could get away with... :D ( and I don't mean it like 'smother'; rather, I mean it like 'surround' or 'embrace' - "soft, gentle, comfortable all over" )

In fact, I would massage your whole body.

That is one of the things I have planned for my future wife. It is not an absolute requirement; however, I intend for my future wife and I to give each other whole body massages - and, thoroughly enjoy each other in doing so.

Of course, there would also be simple head, neck, shoulder, and back massages, too!

I have heard people say things to indicate that they would not massage their spouse ( neck, shoulders, whatever ). And, I am thinking:

"What??? You are kidding, right?"

That does not make any sense to me.

If you truly love them, why wouldn't you want to help them if they are hurting? Or, help them feel better? Or, simply, to please them?

I don't get it. SMH

I expect him to love Christ, pray, and love me... and be able to prove his love from time to time...
and not mock at my feelings and emotions.
 
This is an ancient thread but...I thought it was thought provoking.

Noncontentious, extremely affectionate, passionate (yeah woot), likes art, crafty, homebody, great taste in decor, insatiable desire to kiss my lips, always holds my hand, strong character (She has to be. I'm very demanding and never stop). She makes me want to come home and rest, nurturing, great with children, loves animals and dreams of a beautiful home on a sprawling lot where I can burn sh-- out back and the neighbors won't call the cops.

Must like Mazerattis and she'll at least tollerate my heavy metal guitar ... and she'll sing Bohemian Rhapsody with me in the shower. "Gimme your foot..."

Good sensev of humor a must. I can be very goofy... for a tall dark and mysterious guy... handsome...eh.. mozeltov.
