Hi,
I accepted Jesus into my life 4 weeks ago after spending the better part of 25 years in & out of care & prison.
I used most drugs during this time & did many things that I am ashamed of & wish I could take back.
When I gave my life to the lord, it was shortly after an incident where I owed money for drugs & was beaten for this as I couldnt pay.
After this happening, my family were threatened & I sat & cried because I didnt know what to do. My life was a mess (again), I was suffering from depression & my mom had passed away from cancer.
I rang my sister (who is a christian) & told her what had happened & she helped me get the money I owed paid off & she let me stay with her.
Whilst here at my sisters & in this loving christian household i took myself off by myself & I prayed to jesus to help me & forgive me for the life I had led.
I told him I couldnt do it by myself & I would, from that day on be his if he would just help me!
He did, & I have changed so much in that short time & its all because of him.
Now each day I give thanks & praise to the one who died for me.
I love jesus with all my heart & he loves us all without fail.
He will help anyone who just gives him their heart. ( A small price to pay ).

Having just recently accepted Jesus into your heart you are now in a vulnerable position. I am saying a prayer for God to not to allow the devil to steal your joy in the Lord, and to protect you, comfort you and guide you. You are now on the right path to the glory of God. Safe journey.

Praise God and welcome to the family. Glad you have joined CC and that you have given your life to Jesus. God bless you as you continue to grow.

His power is beyond explanation is it not brother? Very nice to hear from those recently saved, I lived the same lifestyle myself and can also testify to His regenerative Power. Welcome to the family man. :)

I hear in you conviction my brother ...Your hard life has made you appreciate even more the grace and forgiveness...Thats flat out awesome! It is true that now you are on Fire and thirsty for God,it will be also true that Satan will be an ever present deterrent to having you go too far with this Jesus thing.

Satan will whisper that God can do a lot, he can even do many things, But not all things. But numbers 23:19 tells us that God is not a man that should lie. If God says "All things" then that is exactly what He meant!

Remember as you face now new challenges they teach us two things:

Something about God, and something about us.If we choose to believe God will give us the Victory, we will see, ringside, just how powerful God is. If, instead we choose to trust in our own strength or intelligence, we will quickly see how inadequate we are.

We need to truly believe John 15:5. That says "We can do nothing apart from Him".

It is a true joy and pleasure to meet you. God bless you richly and if you have any questions or you need encouragement .. you can come knock at my door as well. I leave the key under the mat so feel free to just come in and make yourself comfortable. God Bless.

Thank Father to save our brother from drug. Amen.
