I just have one thing to say after reading the posts this morning, and it is IRRESPECTIVE of if I believe repentance means agreeing with God or not. I hope everyone will take what I say and think carefully about it.
I think we should be very careful when using words that might convey the idea of - the Holy Spirit expressly told me, or the Holy Spirit showed me, when the end result is to call someone a heretic or a false teacher.
The Holy Spirit shows me many things and I am overjoyed to share them and bless others if I can and I always hope to be blessed myself in our conversations too. So I am not saying to not share what He has showed us.And I don't say what I did because of having thoughts that agree with a particular "side" (which is heartbreaking in itself to see these divisions instead of unity in the Spirit).I give the caution I wish all would consider because we know how suspicious we have to be of ourselves. And of tradition sometimes. And of the leaven of men we were often warned of by our Lord. And suspicious of our own mind and reasoning oftentimes too
.So I beg everyone to consider carefully when we say, the Holy Spirit showed me or the Holy Spirit told me, to make sure that we absolutely heard it from Him.
Of course, when we misstate something and we do it in ignorance, we know His great mercy to us for things we do in ignorance.
The caution I give is not to say never share what He teaches you so that you fail to bless with what you have been blessed to receive from our Lord. It is given because of what happened to Annanais and Saphira. So let's think soberly and carefully about it, okay? That's all I am pleading for.

All these big words and many letters and I still have no clue what you folks believe.. word circles is all it is.. Jesus died so we could be reconciled, make Him our Lord and receive salvation if we believe, power over sin and the enemy, Grace and authority to accomplish these things... I should be in the spirit as I'm transforming my mind bc the soul needs saved and that's where my mind is, by the soul you either walk in one or the other, flesh needs crucified daily so we shouldn't be in it, but when or if we do we have an advocate... Glory to Glory only happens when we acknowledge and live in all we are able to bc the HS resides with us making it possible to live holy.. Without it none shall see God.. can you have practiced sin and be a child of God, no.. His seed is in those.. eventually all drops off.... Kill me for my words and grammar, but the message is the same.. I'm writing this out bc I can't tell who believes the same and doesn't..
I'm with you Holly. It gets really confusing as to what the main intent of the argument is.
For the life of me, it looks like the argument is over: abundant grace vs. not so abundant grace...
I have suspicion that it really does tie in to a desire to not give up ones self life...

I think some think that if they have sin still, God will work it out bc Christ finished work, it's taken care of.. It's our job to get rid of with the help of grace and guidance of the HS..

The Holy Spirit didn't reveal that to you, that was personal bias and convictions of your own. It opposes your own belief system on repentance and the very fabric of your reality and relationship with God. So naturally, you showed repulsion to it. God's grace to those with some traditional backgrounds on repentance are offended. They think its downright blasphemous.
Yet, it isn't. It is Christ exalting. However, with the traditional understanding of sin confession and repentance one must trample underfoot the Son of God. Especially if one maintains that sin confession maintains one's salvation. For what reason did Christ die? Are we not justified? Then what forgiveness is sought and to what end? Our sins have experienced remission by the blood of Christ. VVhy do we seek another avenue for forgiveness other than Jesus' sacrifice? It doesn't make sense.
I can assure you, the Lord didn't reveal that to you (that he preaches a false gospel). Grace777x70 preaches the truth on God's grace and its sufficiency. He may, indeed, preach another gospel than the one you believe as far as repentance goes and how one has victory over sin, but you believe in the same Jesus Christ. You both believe in Jesus' death and resurrection and that we are saved by grace through faith. The process of sanctification, however, may be where there is a difference in methodology. Know this though, sanctification isn't what saves us. VVe are justified by faith.

hyper grace is a false premise to begin with
the Pharisees called Jesus a devil, said He had devils and opposed Him every step of the way and ultimately bore false witness against Him
the message is simple; people mess it up and do their awful best to bring God down to their own level...and failing that, they turn on others and accuse them of what they do not have or cannot comprehend because the flesh wants to exalt itself
to change your mind means to align your thoughts with what scripture states ...WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!!!
Hmmm...yes...I think the argument is over HOW that is accomplished.
There are so many enemies in the land we are to take.
They are giants, much bigger and stronger than us - selfishness, desires to be honored and thought well of by men, self-regard, self-pity, pride, the lust of the eyes toward possessions, feeling we should defend ourself, the desire to claim space as our own, anger and resentments, and the list of our enemies goes on and on.
I agree. Having our mind more and more renewed to think on things as God does is just another way of saying, growing our trust in what He has said - growing faith in Him.

the biggest gripe these hyper snipers (copyright 2016 LTM) have, seems to be that if you believe that grace alone saves you, that is grace as in the unmerited favor of God, then you are automatically a sinner and bring shame on Christians everywhere
this has been refuted over and over and I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the gray matter of people who ignore that and just keep chanting the same thing as though a lie could become a truth
perhaps for them it is a truth, I don't know. but my personal thought is to just ignore all their posts. what they are saying is not true
the ignore button is probably the best option at this point

Easy buddy.. I did say I was confused, and I was just talking it out... What works is believe the Bible, lose your life, people don't want to.. that's the problem, they loop hole to find ways they get to keep themselves

When God would tell them to go and take a land He was giving them, He would tell them to slaughter EVERY enemy. But they kept disobeying Him and letting some live. Or He'd say to even destroy their possessions too, like cattle, and they would save some alive. They'd either...take pity on some of the enemy or think it would be beneficial to them to keep some of them alive or would desire some of their possessions, so they'd disobey.
And we are like this concerning the giants/enemies within us. We want to keep some alive and feed them and coddle them. We save them instead of putting them on the cross and letting them die.
We also do this concerning things our fathers built - traditions that help no ones faith in God grow and so are useless and even harmful. We do like some of the kings, of whom God said: tear down ALL the high places/altars/idols of your father - and then Gods testimony about them was this: and they did good in the Lords' sight, NEVERTHELESS, they did not tear down ALL the idols of their father.
Oh yes! I didn't think we were arguing...I was sharing what I've seen with Gods' help...
I agreed that I was confused as well.
I was agreeing with your post that we are to get rid of it and saying that it seemed the argument was over HOW we do that...

I think that right there is the difference in how people see repentance. Some see it as our job, and see God as our helper in our getting it done. Others see repentance as something granted to us by God as a gift, as yet another example of how within the context of the new covenant what God commands of us, God Himself provides for us.
I share Paul's confidence in Christ, that He who began this good work in us will carry it on to completion. Can we frustrate His work? Absolutely. And never do we frustrate His work more than when we decide to take matters into our own hands and stop trusting in the love and grace of Christ.
