Well.. I know when someone like someone else, sometimes they tend to be, well, mean. I've even noticed myself doing that occasionally when I meet someone that makes me feel defensive.
That being said, if he was a real nice guy he would recognize that he was letting his feelings hurt you and he would stop and try to walk in love, whether you made him feel defensive or not.
It sounds like though this is a personality issue where he is just being mean and whether he likes you or not is unimportant because who would want to be with someone who hurt them???
So finally, if it were me, I would do my best to walk in love toward him. Be patient kind and so on. I would try to avoid him and respond less. Basically if you don't give them attention they will either feel bored or rejected and hopefully move on.
If you're stuck in a situation with him and he just won't relent and is tormenting you, then stand up to him and tell him to stop. Be strong, be aggressive and value yourself. And remember that your Father in heaven in values you.

I appreciate that, Siberian. I just wanted to think out loud and get feedback from y'all because it helps me figure things out... So far you guys have helped a lot. When I'm under pressure and unprepared my responses can be unpredictable and can range from a feeble laugh to[stabbing someone in the throat with a pencil/knife/shovel] being unnecessarily aggressive. 
I've thought about it enough now that I think I can be firm without accidentally removing his face.
I've just been trying to remember that I represent Christ to this guy, and I seriously doubt Jesus would let him get away with saying things like that... but He probably wouldn't punch him in the face, either.

"Talk to the hand." Lol kidding. But seeing that he can get you flustered, coming up with witty replies might not be as easy. I agree with Willie-T, honesty is still the best policy. Honest but kind. If he says more things that make you feel uncomfortable, (I don't know if this can help, hopefully) let him know. If he's not a jerk, he'd behave properly. If he is, however...

Yes this is the best solution and she can put your picture in her wallet and stare at it when he starts to talk. I once when I was young had such a guy at the bus station. He just wouldn't leave and I was not assertive at all. Then all of a sudden the boyfriend of a girl I knew walked there too and I was like: heeeey Eric! He walked with me to the bus since he lived in the same students' home and he really helped me out. I'll never forget it.

In all seriousness though, that reaction from a girl would slightly sicken and annoy me (vs tremble with fear), so either way...after that, unless he's just really persistent, he'll probably leave her alone.
