From a military perspective it’s hard to say what Iran has got left of capabilities. Warfare has changed dramatically since Russia invaded Ukraine. Military strategists are learning from second to second these days.

Iran is a large country. Boots on the ground will demand strategic thinking in the upper level.

1) The fact is that the Messiah was "CUT OFF" at the termination of 7 + 62 = 69 weeks. NOT THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
However, you have wrongly stated that the Messiah was cut off "IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK". This a fabrication with zero Biblical basis.

It's actually what the bible says. In the middle of the 70th week God put an end to sacrifices and offerings as a means of forgiveness.

And one week he shall establish the covenant with many: and in the midst of the week my sacrifice and offering shall be lifted up: and on the temple shall be the abomination of desolations; and at the end of time an end shall be put to the desolation. Daniel 9:27

" Jesus confirmed the new covenant with Israel during the 70th week. He was cut off in the ***middle*** of THAT week (***1260 days***) as the prophecy states"

Dan 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be ***cut off***,

7 weeks + 62 weeks (threescore and two weeks) = 69 weeks.

The Messiah is "cut off" at precisely 69 weeks. He is NOT cut off in the MIDDLE of ANY week.

Get a grip on reality.

I want an answer:
Why is Israel here? By what means is Israel here? For what purpose is Israel here?
What prophecies indicate that Israel is now here? What prophecies need Israel to be here in order to be fulfilled?

And last but not least: why has the Second Coming not taken place in 40 AD as per your eschatology?
Well, Moses, who happened to know bible doctrine. Knew exactly why Israel is here and knew the eternal/unconditional contract that God made with Israel.
Unfortunately, many believers today will say, "Burn ,baby burn!" Thank God Israel had Moses. Seems the majority of believers today want God to break His contract........with a little bit of glee it seems.

9 Then the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, they are an obstinate people. 10 So now leave Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.”

11 Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said, “LORD, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians talk, saying, ‘With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’” 14 So the LORD relented of the harm which He said He would do to His people.

Dan 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be ***cut off***,

It doesn't say he would be cut off after 62 weeks, but after the 62-week period expired. The definate article THE appears in both the Hebrew and Greek versions of Daniel 9:26. The 70th week was after the 62-week period (7 weeks + 62 weeks), so he had to be cut off during the 70th week.

And if you are of Christ, then you are the seed of Abraham, and heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:29

Another utterly preposterous ludicrous embarrassing fantasy not supported by the text meant to deceive the unwary.

The next passage declares a totally separate series of completely different events in the "midst of the week".

Dan 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

We are also told that Satan is the prince of the power of the air. That has not yet been resolved.
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Satan is all over the world, he is the spirit of disobedience, the spirit of worldliness.

But we will know the season. and we are getting closer with each passing day

What's going on now seems to be what was spoken of in Psalms 83 where Israel gets an upper hand over her enemies and experiences a time of prosperity and power which sets the stage for Ezekiel 38 where all these nations seek to come together and destroy Israel where nobody is willing to help them... except for the Lord, who will do so in such a way the entire world knows that God has come to Israel's aid. I got my popcorn ready!
None of that makes any sense to me, because I don't accept the view that the Israel described in the end times prophecies, are speaking about "National Israel".
The only interpretation that makes sense to me is, that "Israel" is the "Church".

The problem with your view is that "all these nations are not coming together to destroy national Israel". The opposite is true, National Israel has the support of the majority of the worlds nations. But the Israel of God, "the Church" is hated by the vast majority of nations. We are being persecuted and martyred more than ever before in our history.

The Lord Jesus promised that this would happen to us, He never said that this would happen to national Israel.

The world has always hated Gods people, it killed most of His prophets and 11 of the 12 Apostles were martyred as well. God allows His people to go through the whole tribulation period and most of us will be killed. But that's OK, we don't fear those who can kill the body and then have no further power over us. We only fear God.

I did not say the day and hour. You added that. You use a verse in the Bible which says you do not know the day and hour to say that the Bible says we don't know the year? That is very sloppy Bible interpretation. You are adding to the Bible and you are using your own mind to say what it does not say.

You are also ignoring many other relevant verses:

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Just because the disciples did not know 2,000 years ago doesn't mean Jesus can't tell His disciples a week before hand what the hour will be.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

We don't know when the various prophecies will be fulfilled, but we have been given prophecies that when we see them fulfilled we know that the Lord's return is imminent. Joel gives us a prophecy of a worldwide pandemic and global shutdown that never happened previously in human history, a bug that is stitched together from five bugs like in a bioweapons lab, a bug that goes into the great houses so that even the President of the US will get sick, and Joel tells us this is the event that takes place "next door" to the day of the Lord. This verse obliterates your Minister teaching not to watch. It proves he is contrary to the Lord's teaching.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

2,000 years ago the Lord revealed to the apostles the things He was doing then. He revealed the New Testament to them. Likewise prior to His return He will reveal the things He is about to do and that includes His return.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Noah and his family entered the ark seven days before the flood. This is because Methuselah died and there was a prophecy that when he dies the end shall come. No one knew the day or hour that Methuselah was going to die, but when he did die they knew what that meant. You have been deceived by that minister.
With all due respect, I must reject your views and believe what my Minister teaches instead.
He taught us that, "Every date-setter in history has been wrong. Such predictions bring disrepute to the Gospel and cause unnecessary trauma when the date passes".
"I believe in the literal, personal return of Jesus Christ. However, because Jesus specifically said no man knows the day or hour, (a day can mean a year in the bible), I must reject all date-setting as unbiblical. I will remain faithful in my calling, by living each day ready for His appearance, rather than chasing predictions".
Date setting for the return of Jesus Christ, is a violation of clear biblical teaching and an exercise in arrogance. My Minister teaches, the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and the necessity of constant readiness rather than calculation.

Matthew 24:36 "But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." Anyone claiming to know the date is claiming to know something that Jesus said even He did not know in His humiliation.
Acts 1:7 When the disciples asked about the time, Jesus replied, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority".
1 Thessalonians 5:2 The "day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night." This implies it will be unexpected, unannounced, and sudden, not a predicted date"

Christ could return at any moment. Setting a date (e.g., "September 2026") destroys this imminence because it wrongly suggests Christ cannot come before that date.
"The Bible tells me to look for Christ, not a calendar. Any date set is a contradiction to the doctrine of imminence".
"Jesus tells us to 'watch' (Mark 13:37) because we do not know the time, not to search for clues to build a timeline. My duty is to be doing the work of the Great Commission, not mapping the end times".

"In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return"

I don't believe that is the proper interpretation. Jesus is omniscient and always knows everything all of the time, and certainly knows the mind of the Father. Jesus is referring to the distinction of roles in salvation history. Personally, I see this as an intertwining of the entire "end-time" prophetic matrix of rapture - man of sin revealed - time of Jacobs trouble - day of the Lord all packaged together in one terse saying.
I think we have covered our opposing views concerning the end times prophecies, but I see that you have a very different view of who the Lord Jesus Christ is as well.
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Almighty Jehovah God, Creator and sustainer of everything that exists. I believe He has two distinct natures, He is fully Human with a Human nature and at the same time He is fully God with a Divine nature.

There is no doubt that the Lord Jesus was/is omniscient, but I think you draw a long bow to claim that the Man Lord Jesus "knew everything at all times". There are many examples in the Bible showing that the Man Jesus did not know everything at all times.
If the Lord Jesus used His Divine power to avoid feeling pain during the crucifixion, then His work of atonement wouldn't be valid.

I think we run into confusion, when we forget that God is a mystery for the most part. We only know those things which He revealed about Himself in the Bible. We shouldn't attempt to fill in the blanks as it were, He must have a good reason for keeping so much about Himself hidden from us.

God has been silent for the past 2000 years, He hasn't spoken to anyone since the Lord Jesus ascended to heaven. Beware of those who claim to hear Him speak to them, because evil Spirits disguise themselves as Angels of light and they can fool some to think they have spoken with Jesus or received revelation form Him.

"In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return, fully submitting to the Father's timeline.
This limitation highlights Christ's true humanity, allowing him to be a sympathetic mediator who experiences the same human limitations as his followers."

You would do well to first of all ask yourself:
What did Jesus NOT "empty Himself" of. Because He certainly DID NOT empty Himself of the following attributes:
-deity, He is the God-man, a Person of the Trinity
-infinity and infinitely valuable and potent Blood
-omnipotence, His sacrifice being sufficient of all sin, and was utterly unkillable by men by any means
-omnipresence, He declared oneness with the Father and was literally in heaven and on earth at the same time
-total authority over creation, life, death, demons men and angels. Throttled back during His sojourn according the will of the Trinity
-free will. I personally believe that He never gave this up at any time. Everything He did was an act of His own free will.
-He was and is and will always be outside of time, and inside at the same time

So what did He give up then? He gave up this.......temporarily.
This nonsense that Jesus was a hapless victim inside of time, subject to the schemes of men and Satan and dire out of control circumstances is heretical.

Phl 2:10
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Phl 2:11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Phl 2:7
but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

Phl 2:8
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Phl 2:9
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,

Phl 2:10
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Phl 2:11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:6–7 is the primary passage for "kenosis" (self-emptying), interpreted not as Jesus losing His divinity, but as veiling His glory and voluntarily surrendering the independent exercise of divine attributes to assume human nature. He added humanity rather than subtracting divinity, submitting to human limitations while remaining fully God.
Philippians 2:6-7 "...though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men."
The "emptying" is explained by the surrounding phrases: taking a servant's form and being born human. It is a voluntary laying aside of heavenly glory and privileges, not a cessation of divine nature.
2 Corinthians 8:9 "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich."
Jesus was "rich" in divine glory and splendour, and became "poor" by adopting human frailty and the humiliation of the cross, representing a functional, not essential, change.
John 17:5 "And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed."
This verse highlights that Jesus had voluntarily set aside or veiled the glory He previously possessed, preparing to receive it back upon completion of His earthly work.
Hebrews 2:14-17 "...he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death..."
To be the fitting substitute, Christ had to share in human nature, limiting Himself to experience temptation and death, which is the essence of his humility and self-emptying.

  • No Loss of Divinity: Jesus remained fully God (Colossians 2:9). He did not stop being God.
  • Functional Limitations: He lived under the law and used His power only under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, not His own independent divine authority.
  • Veiling of Glory: The divine attributes were veiled during His earthly ministry, except for moments like the Transfiguration.
