Have a good day!
My honorable intention to warn everyone on this thread about what snake oil you are selling.blah blah blah that totally ignores the valid point i made
1) The fact is that the Messiah was "CUT OFF" at the termination of 7 + 62 = 69 weeks. NOT THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
However, you have wrongly stated that the Messiah was cut off "IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK". This a fabrication with zero Biblical basis.
Are you suffering an emotional and mental meltdown? It's actually what the bible says. In the middle of the 70th week God put an end to sacrifices and offerings as a means of forgiveness.
And one week he shall establish the covenant with many: and in the midst of the week my sacrifice and offering shall be lifted up: and on the temple shall be the abomination of desolations; and at the end of time an end shall be put to the desolation. Daniel 9:27
Well, Moses, who happened to know bible doctrine. Knew exactly why Israel is here and knew the eternal/unconditional contract that God made with Israel.I want an answer:
Why is Israel here? By what means is Israel here? For what purpose is Israel here?
What prophecies indicate that Israel is now here? What prophecies need Israel to be here in order to be fulfilled?
And last but not least: why has the Second Coming not taken place in 40 AD as per your eschatology?
Dan 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be ***cut off***,
Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’” 14 So the LORD relented of the harm which He said He would do to His people.
Another utterly preposterous ludicrous embarrassing fantasy not supported by the text meant to deceive the unwary. It doesn't say he would be cut off after 62 weeks, but after the 62-week period expired. The definate article THE appears in both the Hebrew and Greek versions of Daniel 9:26. The 70th week was after the 62-week period (7 weeks + 62 weeks), so he had to be cut off during the 70th week.
The next passage declares a totally separate series of completely different events in the "midst of the week".Another utterly preposterous ludicrous embarrassing fantasy not supported by the text meant to deceive the unwary.
The next passage declares a totally separate series of completely different events in the "midst of the week".
Dan 9:26 - And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,”We are also told that Satan is the prince of the power of the air. That has not yet been resolved.
None of that makes any sense to me, because I don't accept the view that the Israel described in the end times prophecies, are speaking about "National Israel".But we will know the season. and we are getting closer with each passing day
What's going on now seems to be what was spoken of in Psalms 83 where Israel gets an upper hand over her enemies and experiences a time of prosperity and power which sets the stage for Ezekiel 38 where all these nations seek to come together and destroy Israel where nobody is willing to help them... except for the Lord, who will do so in such a way the entire world knows that God has come to Israel's aid. I got my popcorn ready!
With all due respect, I must reject your views and believe what my Minister teaches instead.I did not say the day and hour. You added that. You use a verse in the Bible which says you do not know the day and hour to say that the Bible says we don't know the year? That is very sloppy Bible interpretation. You are adding to the Bible and you are using your own mind to say what it does not say.
You are also ignoring many other relevant verses:
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Just because the disciples did not know 2,000 years ago doesn't mean Jesus can't tell His disciples a week before hand what the hour will be.
Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
We don't know when the various prophecies will be fulfilled, but we have been given prophecies that when we see them fulfilled we know that the Lord's return is imminent. Joel gives us a prophecy of a worldwide pandemic and global shutdown that never happened previously in human history, a bug that is stitched together from five bugs like in a bioweapons lab, a bug that goes into the great houses so that even the President of the US will get sick, and Joel tells us this is the event that takes place "next door" to the day of the Lord. This verse obliterates your Minister teaching not to watch. It proves he is contrary to the Lord's teaching.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
2,000 years ago the Lord revealed to the apostles the things He was doing then. He revealed the New Testament to them. Likewise prior to His return He will reveal the things He is about to do and that includes His return.
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Noah and his family entered the ark seven days before the flood. This is because Methuselah died and there was a prophecy that when he dies the end shall come. No one knew the day or hour that Methuselah was going to die, but when he did die they knew what that meant. You have been deceived by that minister.
I think we have covered our opposing views concerning the end times prophecies, but I see that you have a very different view of who the Lord Jesus Christ is as well."In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return"
I don't believe that is the proper interpretation. Jesus is omniscient and always knows everything all of the time, and certainly knows the mind of the Father. Jesus is referring to the distinction of roles in salvation history. Personally, I see this as an intertwining of the entire "end-time" prophetic matrix of rapture - man of sin revealed - time of Jacobs trouble - day of the Lord all packaged together in one terse saying.
Philippians 2:6–7 is the primary passage for "kenosis" (self-emptying), interpreted not as Jesus losing His divinity, but as veiling His glory and voluntarily surrendering the independent exercise of divine attributes to assume human nature. He added humanity rather than subtracting divinity, submitting to human limitations while remaining fully God."In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return, fully submitting to the Father's timeline.
This limitation highlights Christ's true humanity, allowing him to be a sympathetic mediator who experiences the same human limitations as his followers."
You would do well to first of all ask yourself:
What did Jesus NOT "empty Himself" of. Because He certainly DID NOT empty Himself of the following attributes:
-deity, He is the God-man, a Person of the Trinity
-infinity and infinitely valuable and potent Blood
-omnipotence, His sacrifice being sufficient of all sin, and was utterly unkillable by men by any means
-omnipresence, He declared oneness with the Father and was literally in heaven and on earth at the same time
-total authority over creation, life, death, demons men and angels. Throttled back during His sojourn according the will of the Trinity
-free will. I personally believe that He never gave this up at any time. Everything He did was an act of His own free will.
-He was and is and will always be outside of time, and inside at the same time
So what did He give up then? He gave up this.......temporarily.
This nonsense that Jesus was a hapless victim inside of time, subject to the schemes of men and Satan and dire out of control circumstances is heretical.
