Notice this Roman Catholic Bishop makes no appeal at all to God's word but only to Vatican II. This is a great example of what happens when you put ecumenism above truth.

That Bishop is just a neck blowing Vatican II bubbles.... I don't think he is representative of all of Catholics beliefs and he is certainly not a representative of the written Word ... but he is in the Catholic hierarchy which is scarry.
To think he is spewing this bland garbage to unaware people ....that is part of the reason I bailed in the RC church when I was 14. And it is so much deeper; steeped in tradition and doctrine of men, and Babylonian mysticism ....
This is not at all a reflection of all Catholics ...but that stuff does trickle down.

Actually he is representative of Roman Catholic belief and practice. Vatican II has been the guiding star for RCs ever since it was ratified. There are a few splinter groups who don't recognize it; but overall, mainstream RC accepts it.

I agree, it is representative of the Church but there is (aside from the faction's) a varying belief amongst individuals that does not coincide the doctrine...at least among many of the ones I have spoken to....the factor being... most of those people do read the Bible.

This is simply further evidence to the fact that Catholicism is not biblical Christianity.

People always say this but the fact is, if a Roman Catholic is serious about the truth and actually does read the Bible there's no way they could stay RC.

I love how he beaks things down kindergarten style.

That is my underline goal whenever I talk to one… But as you know…. they are so entrenched in tradition …I would much rather talk with an atheist.

If I can determine the are born again… I sometimes have to leave it at that. .. But I always leave them with my number which has proved beneficial a handful of times.

Reparations for supporting the Nazis and Hitler?

Why anyone would continue in the Roman Catholic church is beyond reason. The delusion is strong.

Sounds like Bishop "Bucket O' Mud" to me. Are all Catholics so uninformed about the Gospel?

The pope has been sending Ramadan greetings to Muslims in which he calls them "Brothers and Sisters". There have also been other initiatives to wipe out distinctions between Christians, Muslims, and Jews.

Only through the blood of Jesus the Almighty Son of God, Second Person of the Trinity. That is distinctive of Christianity alone.

I believe you have answered your own query.

It is my understanding that - more than [most] anything else, they are taught:

1) The RCC is 'THE Church'. ("the only true church")
2) No one can be saved unless they are a member of that church.

Of course, they are just-as-wrong-as-they-can-be on both of these ideas. But, it sure doesn't help any that most of these folks are born-and-raised on false ideas like these...

That used to be the case but I'm not sure to what extent it is now. They don't really say things like the RCC is THE church; rather, what I've heard Bergolio say is: We have doctrinal differences but that shouldn't stop us from being brothers and sisters. We first have to accept one another, then we can work on our doctrinal differences. That's really what the whole ecumenical thing is about: join up with anyone and everyone and ask questions later. What the RCC has in mind, whether they've genuinely backed away from the whole we're THE church, or if they have some other agenda I'm not sure. Like in the video, they're talking about virtually anyone who has good intentions and follows their conscience is following Christ, even if they don't realize it.

I will never understand why the ecumenical movement has any followers. Surely, even a non-believer with some common sense can see the fake fraud phony unity and wishywashy attempt at spirituality?

Imagine doing an ecumenical sermon, all you can talk about is global warming and feeding the poor etc. Well what about the son of God? cant talk about that cause muslims dont believe in it, what about the gospels? NOPE, Jews dont believe in that. Prophecy? Nope. Bible quotes? Nope.

The RCC has long time moved from a church that holds to Erorred Traditions, then moved to Abandememt of the authoritative word of God. The RCC will embrace the LGBTQ very soon. The RCC stands for = Radical Catholic Control. They are not even Christian anymore.

Ironically, the churches that prostituted themselves to politicians and social movements are the ones establishing the global narrative for all believers. We're already seeing, and have for some time now, general acrimony against anyone who asserts his or herself as a follower of Christ. What I believe we will see is a further widening of the gap between those who follow Christ and those who are simply members of these movements. We're witnessing it already: churches accepting homosexual leaders, collaborating with muslims, accepting a position as a national religion, etc. They are content to define themselves as champions of the people and, therefore, mold their personas to fit the will of the masses. It will be from these groups that permission to persecute the faithful will come. They will step aside and let the marauders have their way. In the end they will fully support the hostilities believing that they serve God by doing so.

It makes logical sense to me why Catholics believe people of other religions go to Heaven. All one has to do is look at this issue from a Catholic perspective. Catholics believe Protestants are lost for various reasons but are able to enter Heaven. By the same logic, people of other religions are similar to Protestants but just a bit more lost. This is just a matter of degree to them. Catholics consider the Catholic Church the true embodiment of Christ, and the Protestants and other religions do not belong/are not baptized into this.

What the RCC has in mind is the same as it has always been - to bring the whole world under the Catholicism umbrella.

The ecumenical movement is about the ultimate creation of a one world religion.

This is what they are attempting to acheive.
