Today lets look at the thread as Perfect Father's Day Gift as Sixpence non the Richer

Most replys should be fairly Short & well thoughtout w/ common Bible wording The best reply answer. As far as I know there is only Two Passages laying out this this Peace Treaty high Caliber ,one passage OT and other passage in Gospel .

“Tithe” means “tenth” so 100% is not a tithe. Also, the tithe was the first tenth. An “ultimate” tithe would be the last.

Your last phrase doesn’t connect with the rest of your post.

Tell that to Jesus and the old widow lady .You just missed the peace offering .you may not have gotten filled in the king gift So you you hold back. All 100% is the The victory of war .Seems you rather war again again just not interested in the kings gift .it there to see what you give in return

Jesus did not call the widow's gift a tithe. The point Dino246 made was that the word "tithe" means a tenth. In very old English, there was no such word as "tenth". The word used was "tithe." That word is still used today in many English Bible translations. Some translations actually use the word "tenth". For example:

(Luk 11:42 ISV) "How terrible it will be for you Pharisees! You give a tenth of your mint, spices, and every kind of herb, but you neglect justice and the love of God. These are the things you should have practiced, without neglecting the others.

The widow didn't give a tithe, a tenth. She gave all that she had.

The king brings Bread & Wine that is to Abraham was blessed by the king . He gave 10% of the victory spoils so happen it called tithe. The bread and wine gift and blessing now is He want the whole victory spoils of each and everyone one of Us! Let just call it All instead of tithe.but no one even look at scriptures to compaired the king gift ot nt. Think I don't know tithe means or base standard of Abraham offering .do you own work don't talk about what you think you see look for what you don't see set the standard of All

Gospel the disciples did not recognize Jesus until the king Bear the gift. Ok need answer The king use bread & wine then they knew Him. .Jesus last Action, He raised his hand s to heaven And blessed them.
The blessing is why Abraham gave a tenth.
Jesus last blessing is for us. Now what is the return blessing spoils for the king, that He Doesn't Have Already?

I tithe Him my all, for I have all that He gives me, and I acknowledge where it came from and look toward where it will be.

This is Jesus and widow lady THE LAST OF ALL THEY HAVE

Then the High Preist Blessing Beyond a Promise of Mighty Prophet yours!
