And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.(Daniel 12:9-10) .
No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Corinthians 2:7-9).

As a child of God, prophesize to yourself, your family and to others what you want to happen. Don't be silent, speak prophetic words to yourself and declare what you want to happen in your life and family in the Name of JESUS; so shall it be. Remember, the devil don't understand prophecy.

The devil is not the president, much as some people want to say he is... I don't think he counts as one of the leaders of this age.

I have heard people say the devil still thinks he can win, or the devil just doesn't understand prophecy. I disagree. The devil ain't stupid. He is many things, but dumb is directly contradictory to what the Bible says he is.

Why does he keep working so hard then? Just so he can ruin as much as possible in the time he has left. All he has remaining is one last act of spite. Kind of sad really.

We live by faith, but let God's will be done. With all respect to you position, did Job just prophesied but he wanted for himself and his family, or did God allow something else in accordance with His will for Job and his family? Be careful of prosperity gospel as opposed to be willing to die for the Word of God...

Do you know why all those calamities happens to Job and His Family? Do you know the will of GOD for each and everyone of us His Children? The Word of GOD is His will for us. JESUS never came and died so that those who believe in Him should be poor. Christians are poor because of their ignorance of the Word of GOD, and they don't do what the Word says. For the LORD says my People are destroy for lack of knowledge( Hosea 4:6).

Again you said, "Be careful of prosperity gospel as opposed to be willing to die for the Word of God..." You have said this because you haven't understand the message. When the Word talk of prosperity it doesn't say you should not suffer for Christ's sake.

BenjamineN, the Glorious Gospel of JESUS CHRIST talks about prosperity. Study the Word for yourself and allow the HOLY SPIRIT to revealed His Word to you. He is the Author of the Word not man.
Why did JESUS came? JESUS our LORD Himself said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10).
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Hello BenjaminN. You said, " We live by faith.." Absolutely True. That's how all Christians should live but unfortunately many are not living by faith. Faith is base on one thing only and that is God's Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And the Word of Faith is in our months and in our hearts (Romans 10:8). Do you believe what the HOLY SPIRIT said in Romans 10:8?

Can you give one example of a person in the Bible actually doing this and having it work out that way? I can't think of a single example in scripture of this happening nor a specific command to prophesy to ourselves. I can think of a few places where it talks about prophecies that originate with man are false prophecies as counter evidence, but nothing is coming to mind when I try to think of people in the Bible who actually did this.

But at least here we can discuss it rationally. If he posted it in the appropriate forum, bdf, he would be tarred and feathered, crucified and then buried 18 ft underground for all three of those.

I think Satan understands prophecy enough to know how to muddy the rights ways to effectively obfuscate the truth.

Thus says the LORD, "I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy...( 1Corinthians 14:5).
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy (Acts 2:17).
We are now at the last days. So, as a Child of God you have the Holy Spirit in you, open your mouth and prophesy. It's your responsibility.

Hewasan angel of Light has fully aware of everything look in job he is aware of how God work. He was the most wise of all angel to the point he was full of pride. The wicked scripture refers to us human living in sin not the fallen angels aka aliens or whatever you want to call them.

He does now. Revelation 12:12. God has cleverly hidden the meaning of some prophecies. God told Eve that her seed would crush Satan's head. I believe that is why Satan incited Cain to kill Abel. Satan had no way of knowing who the seed would be. Abel pleased God so he was a more likely prospect than Cain.

The "mystery" has been revealed. Satan knows that the church will be his downfall, so he attacks Christians mercilessly, especially those who engage in spiritual warfare. He loses. He will not accept defeat, much like conspiracy theorists won't accept that they are wrong. Satan's end is certain. It's "when", not "if".

Maybe you misunderstand the prosperity gospel. I got caught up in it for a while. It certainly appeals to a part of our nature. I listened to Copeland's messages and saw him preach in Melbourne Australia. It's persuasive. It is what is left out that is the problem. It is the focus on how the gospel benefits the individual instead of the Kingdom of God. So it is unbalanced. 1 Timothy 6:10 is a warning, so is Matthew 13:22.

I am comfortably off, but not rich by society's standard. All my needs are met. I get suspicious when Christians say that God requires them to raise 300 million dollars. One prosperity preacher said that God would kill him if he did not come up with 16 million. That does not make sense to me when my Bible says that God will provide my every need, if I meet His conditions.

I know fine Christians who went through financial barren patches. God wants us to trust Him, not money. Sometimes God allows sickness to afflict us and to bring us to a greater dependence on Him. Paul learned to be content, rich or poor. The implication from prosperity preachers is that if you are afflicted, you must be doing something wrong. And that is false. It is through tribulation that we enter the Kingdom of God.

If you want an example of how kingdom finance should work, look up George Muller.

So all you've got in response to a request for an actual example of people in scripture doing what you are talking about are two verses that have the word prophesy in them? How do you know that your definition of prophesy is the same as the Bible's definition?

Because "it means what I say it means because I have revelation from the holy spirit and you don't" is just not the same as good scholarship and exegesis.
