You are forgetting one thing. we are not God. God can do anything by simply willing it; we, however, must overcome the difficulties of the world with our technology. Simply throwing away our achievements that make the production of massive quantities of things like food and medicine would, in my opinion, be ridiculously irresponsible.

I would very soon throw away all of your achievements so that you could achieve something worthwhile. Jesus has given that same power to his disciples that was given to him of the Father, so that the Father will be glorified. So do you say that they could not walk on water? Or tell storms to go away? Or raise the dead? Or see a miracle of food feeding a nation from a small ration? If so then you greatly dismiss the Power of God! But this power is not in men. It is in Jesus Christ, and his gospel. If people would only believe it rather than just saying it, so many people would see the wonders of God. But many people are blind and deaf.

WE, cannot overcome the difficulties of the world with ANYTHING we have achieved. THERE IS ONLY ONE WHO HAS OVERCOME THE DIFFICULTIES OF THIS WORLD BROUGHT ABOUT BY SIN!!! AND THAT IS JESUS CHRIST!!!!

May Jesus bless you.

Sorry to burst your bubble,but it wasn't intended for evil...oh look that's judging again! You just assume that someone says something and it's meant for evil WRONG. There have been many who have posted things on here before,whom all they did was copy and paste things from another site. You just HAD to respond because there's a very high chance you are a troll. I noticed you didn't even acknowledge when everyone said they think you are. You also just HAD to respond because you like to see how far you can push me,that's clearly a fact...because you've done it many times on other threads. For the record,I didn't say anything that could have even been taken or mistaken as ''evil'' and that's a FACT.

I just had to respond to this one sweetheart. Because I heard the Lord speaking in this post you made. It is really lovely how the Lord can take something meant for evil into his glory. And I am thankful for that. My friend, I can NEVER be angry at you. I want to tell you then, this that I have just heard.

The thoughts of Jesus Christ were not his own, his words were from the Father. And he was full of the Spirit of God. Paul also had the witness of the Spirit in him, because he did not have need of any man to teach him, but the Spirit taught him, and his mind became as the mind of Christ.

It is like you say, Jesus took the words of the Father and pasted it into his heart, and in this way, he knew the truth. I WILL ADMIT THIS!! That the Lord has done the same with me. He has taken the words of the Father and pasted them into my heart. And yes! I am a new Christian, as was Paul, but I was not converted by men, but by the Lord Jesus himself. And this is to his GLORY AND HONOR!!!

In the same way, God also makes many posts to our ears and hearts, but even though people ignore him, he keeps on posting things. May Jesus bless you. This has encouraged me.

You can't be serious... First you say we should get rid of education and send our wealth to assist those in need (which is ridiculous, because without education we wouldn't be a wealthy society - you think it comes from nowhere?), and then you claim that we don't need to deliver this aid because Jesus will help them.

If Jesus will walk on water, raise the dead and turn the smallest amount of food into a feast to feed a nation, why should we bother sending aid at all? Just leave it to Jesus.

Secondly, no matter how "wise" you think someone may be, we shouldn't trust people who don't have an education in aviation or aeronautics to fly large aircraft.

Thirdly, when the disciples were alive Christianity was still a local cult. They weren't magically teleported by Jesus, they walked or probably rode on mules.

Ah, now I see that you do neither know Jesus nor his power. Now I see where you are my friend. You do not believe that Jesus came in the flesh, and you do not believe that Jesus rose from the dead. I see now.

Indeed He did all these miracles and signs, and if he did them today, I see that you would not believe him then. And yes, I am saying LEAVE IT TO JESUS and you would see his signs and wonders.

You say it was a cult, but cults do magic, which is power from Satan. So do you also say that his power was from Satan? Would you say I preach Satan? I warn you to be careful here.

It is people who create these cults and false things that are inspired by Satan only my friend. But the power of God is not in hell, it is in Jesus Christ.

And rebellion is also as the spirit of witchcraft. May Jesus bless you.

First-century Christianity was regarded as a cult. If you didn't know that, it's not my fault. Cults do not always do magic; "cult" is used by ignorant people as an insulting term to denote crazed Satanic worship, when many cults do not follow this pattern. You don't even know what a cult is...

I am merely pointing out the flaw in your posts; you say that we should personally act and then say that we should not and instead "leave it to Jesus". Your posts contradict eachc other; you say we should help people, but when confronted with the fact that if you take away education we will often be unable to help people, you say we should "leave it to Jesus".

You contradict and refute yourself...

Ahh, but does your education help me? Am I edified by your education? And neither have I said that people should not be educated, you prejudge here. I said school is a waste of money, and that the only education that is worth anything is the education of Jesus Christ.

I have also not said that we should not help people, in-fact that is the exact opposite.

I know the definition of cult, but the association of cult I am also aware of. But lets see it then:

You say a cult is a group of worshipers, true. But the association is that it is Satanic worship. But after that you said the disciples were not translated you prove what you meant to say. That there is no power outside the law of the mind. You limit God to your own senses, which were given to you by God. And this is Satanic worship.

I did say, that if people would leave it to Jesus they would see the miracles of Jesus. But Jesus has come once to this earth and done his ministry, and he continues his ministry in his disciples. And so the Lord shows his wonders by his disciples.

Don't you know Jesus is actually real, and not some figment of imagination?

You wouldn't be typing on here if it wasn't for educated people, how could people make computers?, also education has littérateur involved in it, if no one could write then how could the bible been written into all of its languages?

School is just a waste of money. People play thousands and thousands of dollars for school, but it is all just a waste of money. A trick to to put you in debt. Because of whom you are overcome, under the same you are brought into bondage. But who has overcome more than those that bathe daily in the blood of the Lamb of God, who is Jesus Christ?

Get that burden lifted off. Trust in Jesus and don't follow the ways of this world, because these people want to know and have no knowledge. The get their degrees, even thinking they can get a degree in Jesus Christ, but their degrees will mean nothing to God. NO!!! NO!!!! YOUR DEGREES MEAN NOTHING WITH GOD!! HE WANTS RIGHTEOUSNESS! And not that same righteousness of the Pharisees of old who thought perhaps they had some great knowledge, yet they hated the Lord God whom they say they served. As it was written these people honor me with their mouths BUT THEIR HEARTS ARE FAR FROM ME!! Yes, in vain they do worship the Lord.

What a shame for our worship to be in vain. But the true worshipers worship him in Spirit and in Truth.

Stop wasting your money on temporary things, which will all perish just a soon, but put your hope and trust in the Lord, who will never forsake his own. It is not your duty to become hostile! NO!!! but to become humble before the Lord Jesus Christ. Not to go around poking eyes out but to, in love edify one another. But we must first have this confidence in Jesus Christ, that the Same spirit that rose him from the dead will also raise us from the dead (those who he has ordained unto grace). That, even though this outward man perish, we know the inward man is being renewed day by day into the perfect image of his Son Jesus Christ.

May Jesus bless you.

knowledge and wisdom are spiritual gifts and how God teaches people those things may be through GOOD schools. you must learn to live IN the WORLD but not OF it. however you posting this in a TEEN forum i find offensive.

you discourage education, but without it YOU would not be able to read the Bible and find out how God guided his people.

If you don't want to go to college that is one thing but talking against SCHOOL in general means you do not even believe in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL?

I find it irresponsible of you not to be more aware of your words and careful of you AUDIENCE.

If this was posted in the young adult forum I would understand, but by posting it here it makes me think you are justifying kids to drop out of high school and make their lives more difficult because most jobs require a HIGH SCHOOL DIPOLMA and we have a high drop out rate already.

you would blasphemy and say GOD does not believe in EDUCATION?

GED will cost money. You should encourage people to LEARN more about God and not just have book and head knowledge, but you should not speak against things that might lead and point people to God.

Also you should not condemn a path that GOD may want the youth to travel.

Personally I do NOT want a doctor that did NOT go to college, debt or no debt.

If the Lord tells someone to continue in school, the should obey the Lord, and if the Lord tells someone to leave school they should leave school. Far be it from any man to go against the will of God.

School is certainly a waste of money, unless it is by the unction of the Spirit to go there. But we should not put the knowledge of God behind the knowledge of man. Let them teach the things of this world, but don't accept them as true, because only God is true. Yet, the Lord might have you there to minister to someone of the truth, professor or student. So there are good reasons to go, and in such a case it would not have been waste. That is why I say, ''not on carnal things, but on kingdom things.

You judge too soon.

Those same people would not have the life it takes to breathe long enough to make a computer, if it had not been for Jesus. So which is greater? The Creator or the creature?

Ok then go with out everything it takes to be educated, so why dont you try and go without the bible in the end of the day it took educated people to write it down. since education isnt needed.

God doesn't need a bible to minister to a person. Jesus is the one who ministers by the Spirit of God. My salvation was not given to me by the bible, but by Jesus Christ himself. The bible didn't save me Jesus did, as he drew me to himself by his Spirit.

Have I discouraged education?

I'm gonna break my never type in all caps for a full sentence rule but...

YOU POSTED 2 THREADS SAYING YOU DON'T NEED SCHOOL AND THAT IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY!

Are you really THAT blind?! SERIOUSLY?!

Ugh I know you're a troll... I hope you're a troll... because I would like to believe that there does not exist someone this blind and oblivious... BUT SERIOUSLY?!

No need to call people trolls, he has been clouded by his own wrong understanding, much as Ive been for a few topics, but yes you are right "God doesn't need a bible to minister to a person" and "Jesus is the one who ministers by the Spirit of God" but where you flaw is of wrong no completely "My salvation was not given to me by the bible, but by Jesus Christ himself".

But what you are forgetting is the bible is god’s word, haven't your heard that the lord has made this book in order to get his messages across, yes he has used other things but this is god speaking to you if you accept his teachings. Yes you are completely right about Jesus being our Savior, completely through him we are saved but your are arguing against needing the bible what is god’s word, we are lucky that we have the bible people pray to god for it who do not have anything in 3rd world countries.

but the lord uses the bible to teach us many of his things, and why doesn't Jesus just come down with his servants (angles) and teach many of gods wonders and wisdom, well firstly many people would worship the angles, but everything would be great, but god is a billion times more depth full then that he is trying to test everyone on earth if they can go onto heaven or the lake because he loves you so much and wants to know what would be like in this situation, not like when we go up to heaven becoming Barbie dolls ie. Being nice and loving everything.

If he made it as easy as that everyone should be saved, but no god can’t always send his son nor can he constantly show his miracles (in the bible it talks about how he showed his miracles to the people who were walking the desert but even after he saved their lives from death constantly then later they made a fake idol and worshiped made up gods), so that’s a part of why he made the bible even after quite a few miracles they still slowly went back to what they wanted and if you don't want to accept the bible then you may as well not count your chances into heaven, yes god does do many miracles saving people from doom but he can’t always do everything for you he has done enough now it’s your turn to read the bible, and you don't have to read a fixed amount of pages but whatever you need. The bible was from god, then from people who could write and you need to be able to read the word, the bible is like a relationship with Jesus.

And Ive never been to a church that doesn't open the bible once the bible is your support and everyone else churches plan Sundays on things that mean things to them from the bible Jesus doesn't come into the churches (well i guess the holy spirit) and starts teaching us about god (i would love that but sadly no), yes we do have highs with god but some stage in our life it will go more normally and you may forgot about him a bit more (not always your fault) I don't live in a Christian family, also when Jesus was younger he knew the versus so well that the Jewish teachers were amazed by how well he knew the old testament and quotes. and please don't tell me that Jesus was wrong in learning the bible, and I really don't know why I should be proving the bible is important to a 25yr old but there you go!

Ps i hope you didn’t mean what you said by being a waste of money man here’s a quote from the bible

"People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. (NIV, 1 Timothy 6:9-11)"

But I don't think you meant money more like waste of time

Sry for typos I'm not the best at spelling nor do I have to time with my typing. But you know what i mean and that’s what matters. And if I make me typo were you can’t understand, or wrong wording and it makes it like I’ve said something wrong about god please tell me and ill correct it so you can understand.

And GP you :)

Amen. May Jesus bless you.

I understand everything you wrote, you are fine. My friend, I know you understand what was said, but let me clarify it better so that you really do understand what I am saying.

It is true that the bible is used to aid in teaching, yet it is not the teacher. It is true that is is good for reproof, but it is not the reprover. It is good for instruction in righteousness but it cannot give righteousness.

The bible is yet an instrument used by God to bring glory to his Son Jesus Christ. It has no power other than that. The power is that, when the knowledge of the Son comes, it also comes with revelation of God. And then we begin to actually understand what we read. It is called, the prophecy of scripture. And it is not of any private interpretation, but only Holy men spoke as they were lead by the Spirit of God.

So there is no line in-between. Should we say that John, also being an instrument to bear witness of righteousness is the way to righteousness? Should we also say that Solomon, who gave testament to Wisdom is the source of wisdom? And should we say that any of the prophets, or even the law, which are but instruments, should receive any glory as pertaining to salvation? No!

But we see that all things were made by the Lord to give testimony to himself. So it is the Spirit that testifies of God, through instruments, which are but instruments, which cannot of themselves give life, nor knowledge nor righteousness.

All is fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

And so, the bible nor people nor any man, nor any creature can teach anything worth while unless the Spirit of God is speaking through them. Well, I love you in Christ. May Jesus bless you my friend.

No, I don't think you do know what it means. A cult is a small and radical religious splinter group that runs contrary to the orthodox religious opinions of the society at large. Your association between Satanic worship and cults is an incorrect one, as "cult" is nothing more than a sociological term that, when used properly, has no particularly negative connotations attached to it.

As for education, let's look at your notion. As there is no education, literacy will decline and eventually people will be unable to read and write properly. Without education, who would operate and maintain the machinery required to produce Bibles? How would we be able to read the original texts if nobody went to school to learn about ancient languages? How would we be able to translate the Gospel into different languages en masse without widespread education?

As for the claim you seem to make about Christ's miracles, you then go and say that we don't need the Bible to be saved. Let's get this down pat: you automatically knew about the existence of and saving grace of Jesus without ever reading the Bible or ever being told by anyone? Well gee, if the Bible isn't important in this regard, why do we keep them? In fact, why bother spreading the gospel at all if people just automatically know all about this?

What you're suggesting is the elimination of the Bible itself.

Do you seriously deny the incredible importance of education?

I don't desire to pit knowledge against knowledge. But may Jesus bless you.

Yes, Ramon, God looks at the heart, God will say get away if we do things with wrong intent, well said.

Same, if I were to add, God wants us to USE our talents that He gives us. If you do use them then you will be rewarded with more, the more used the more reward. And, if God gives you talent and you do not use it('bury it', as scripture says in one of Jesus' parables in Gospels ) and it is saved, what does God say?

'BE AWAY FROM ME.'

I THINK God even uses word, 'evildoer.' That the case, then that's powerful, very.

Remember, Ramon, God is the ONLY one who will NEVER let you down, you can't depend ultimately on anyone to ALWAYS be there for you.

School is NOT a waste, I will repeat too. If God leads you, then GO. GOD will provide, always. No need to disobey His leading and get thrown off a boat into the sea. God is sooo good, as even in that airborne moment of what Jonah must have felt was certain death, GOD proved He is there for us all the time. Believers, even non-believers, but, sofy, Yes, so sad and true, God has a nearly impossible time with those ignoring Him but He still IS there all the time.

One of my favorite songs is : He was there all the time.

God bless you, Ramon, with the love to understand the Truth of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, and, the Holy Spifit, whom God sent to ministerio, guide lead us. The hardest part is following. Again, just ask Jonah, Ramon:)

no I did not accused you of blasphemy. I questioned if that was your intentions with your words for words can be misconstrued and misused.

perhaps you should remember to include some scriptures in your post and it would help? There is a time for everything. We must follow God's will in OUR lives and what might be right NOW for one person is not right for ALL at this time.

No Ramon, I do not think you would intentionally misrepresent God but you need to watch more carefully your words. Stay blessed.

Ecclesiastes 3

Everything Has Its Time

1 To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

this is quite an interesting thread... I would like to say that I am soooo surprised by ya'll reaction. I mean if the early church had believed like the way ya'll do, they would have been no martyrs-the world would have loved them:-(

perhaps I should mention that Ramon's posts are not entirely true but they are mostly true... I understand what Ramon is trying to say...education without the aim to Glorify God is nothing ...not worth our time or money...eg. after I was admitted to an Ivy league and people started telling me what to expect - there was nothing good , other than good weatherand good education, the rest was evil to my face, explicit homosexuality...etc. I haven't been there yet but if the list is what my education is going to be about, it may not be worth it.

The point is any education that is not centred on Christ is not worth much of any of our God given talents and wealth. The only reason I choose to go to Stanford over a Christ centred college like Oral Roberts would be because it's cheaper(Stanford gives full rides while ORU doesn't). Without including the scholarships money I would say it's a waste of money to pay $60.580 dollars a year for the so-called good education at an Ivy League while you can pay $20,000 a year at a christian college like ORU for what we should all recognise as great, Christ-centred education.(that's what Ramon was trying to say)

so the so-called good education is not NOTHING,... it's something...real BAD( it can kill you- christians may spiritually die in the process)

Well, if you're following Christ you should know he went to school.(: Also i think 2 tim 2:15 proves differently Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
