there is a chemical difference between rust and the combustion of thermite + rust doesnt form clusters of iron ore together.

I don't think you understand, thermite is iron oxide, sometimes compounded with other extremely common metals. You could scrape it off the underside of your car, or metal in a building.

What do you detect, when testing for thermite? Iron oxide. Where do you find iron oxide? On steel.

Ask for the thermite, this has been debunked as well. I forgot the name of the publication that published the thermite story but it's a complete hack publication. One guy program his computer to write an essay of complete random words, emailed it to this publication and they published the article
