This is the thread where you can be your seriously serious self, and post seriously serious posts and get seriously serious comments. This is seriously not a BDF thread, so please keep the "not by works" discussion for your self.

I start off with a seriously serious topic.

Should your avatar reflect your personality, or does anyone care?

It's your mirror. Use it to reflect whatever you want. You can even use it to reflect a totally wrong image of yourself.

Just don't get upset when people apply that image as a filter when they are reading your posts.

That was a seriously good answer. I seriously use the word serious too much today, Does that seriously bother you?

The way to know that I'm playing is that I have a serious look on my face and I don't smile.

Seriously, my avatar(s) reflect my personal likes and favorites.. seriously..lol Laughing.png

That is a seriously serious statement to make. You are not seriously dead serious!

Seriously, I bet that you could seriously feel the serious vibes of seriousness just pouring out of this super duper seriously serious comment that I put very serious effort into typing, because seriously, I seriously have waaaayy too much time on my hands, I'm serious! So yes, I am seriously dead serious about this super serious matter! And seriously, typing this very serious comment is seriously getting way too hard now...seriously, I think I'm just gonna stop now. :/

You know how when you say a word too much and it starts to sound weird?
I think I read "seriously" too much because the spelling has started to look weird

I was seriously woken by some seriously loud thunder this morning, then by a cat and a dog who hate thunder. So I think I can seriously say that it was a seriously weird morning.

Seriously, I don't even have an avatar. I reckon that's because I'm an airhead. Seriously.

To be serious...well, okay then.

The best advice I've ever gotten in my life; the advice I actually listen to; the advice I apply and actually see benefit from - has come from the psychotherapists I have seen over the years.

"Your emotional state is your choice. Nobody MAKES you feel anything. If you're mad, its your fault. Change it."

"Everyone is messed up. Not a single person on this Earth is a model of mental health."

"We spend most of our lives NOT saying the things we really ought to or doing the things we really want to."

"Knowing what you don't want to do in life is a better position to be in than most people. They merely THINK they know what they want because that's what everyone else does, and most people are afraid to look out of place."

"Using yourself as the yardstick to measure other people against will only guarantee you to be disappointed. Measure them by their own standards."

"People will tell you do 'do what makes you happy' and that's well and good, but many people simply aren't happy. Instead, do what you are interested in; do what you learn from and grow from; do what enriches you without harming somebody else. Maybe, just maybe, happiness will sort itself out. If it doesn't, you still got to do some great stuff that nobody else did."

"It's nearly impossible to take other people at their word when we all are so adept at lying to ourselves constantly."
