You nailed it. And this is very much the problem.... That today's modern Christian doesn't understand that we have been redeemed not only of the curse, but of all worldly laws that judge us. We are judged by the laws of the spirit of life. Well, true genuine Christians, that is.
God revealed certain principles and laws about sex. Violating those is sin.
Genesis also speaks of two becoming one flesh. Sleeping around goes against this principle.

Not just premarital sex, any sexual activity outside marriage will have it's toll. I Corinthians 6 says all things are lawful but all things are not helpful I will not be enslaved to any. Also our body is member of Christ and we should not use it as member of harlot. Read 1 Corinthian 6 for a better understanding. In my experience even masturbation had its toll on me and sexting with my ex had its toll if those are that powerful I can't imagine the effect of having sex with someone and not being with them for the rest of your life.
So to answer your question it's for our welfare. It will also lead us to ungodly sinful life but it will hurt us personally, severely and deeply. Trust me the wounds take longer to heal. So God wants to help us let him do it people.
Isn't this the kind of thinking of the sinful nature? Making up and trying to keep rules which are not required? Paul understood that for some, it was better to marry than to burn with passion. If ever you want an example of not marrying leading to all kinds of perversions, just look at the clergy in the Catholic church.
Ungodly traditions of men (such as prohibitions on marriage for Christians) should be circumcised from our hearts like all the rest of the sinful nature.

Say what? I was merely quoting Paul. So if you're suggesting that this thinking belongs to me, that would be incorrect. Are you suggesting that Paul was in error when he wrote what he wrote? Are you suggesting that the master teacher of Spiritual Circumcision was actually in a "deep sleep" thus confused and deceived?
How could God see it any other way? God does not depend on the approval of men for one . . . stinkin' . . . thing.
I recently watched this about marriage its a long video about 30 minutes bt it will clear most doubts you guys are talking here. And it's a series has few sessions. I don't agree with every he says but his approach with scripture cleared few confusions
Is it "most doubts" or "few confusions"? And if you don't agree with parts of it . . . well, I'm just confused as to why you'd share this video link. I'm not trying to be difficult, I just don't think it's a good idea to share teachings that you admit will lead people astray.
Most of your doubts few of my confusions I shouldn't have used the word disagree. Plus disagreeing personally is different from disagreeing biblically and the latter one leads to astray. Anyway the disagreement part was,
In the following sessions of this video he talked about wife obeying husband he used a few examples for that I don't disagree with that but it was kind of hard preaching. I already think a wife must submit to her husband and his preachings were encouraging my understanding in that subject. I did not wanted to do that because I'm not a husband yet and people already see me as a male chauvinist. So I just stopped watching it.
Plus bible says test everything and hold on to what's good soooo WATCH IT.

If a girl lost her virginity and was married off as a virgin and discovered not to be one, she could face the death penalty for fornicating in her father's house.

its a sin because sex also comes with obligations, if falling pregnant which IS actually one of the consequences of sex, you have to look after the baby which is the product of the two of you that had the sex, and you need to be committed to each other so that THAT child can have the best start in life. If the child doesnt know their own parents or only one of them, they are NOT getting the best.

That's even better asking God to understand is way better than watching sermons. Every preacher's preaching will have flaw no man has perfectly preached except for Christ so we can't say a person is wrong when he preaches something that contradicts our understanding. If he contradicts the bible then we can avoid him
This is a good post. We have just got to Endure this wretched, evil-filled world! We have got to build others up through encouragement. We've just got to press onward; drop the games of fear, shame, and guilt, and look ahead at what is to come. We have got to feed the flock; to not look after ourselves, but look after others. We have got to Love others the Way Christ first Loved us.
