Those reborn of God's seed cannot bring forth evil fruit.

The certainly can if they allow the enemy's lies to enter in and choke the Word of God out of them causing them to no longer bare fruit as taught by Jesus in Mark 4:13-20.

Perhaps you can stroll on over to the 4th chapter of the Book of Mark and take a gander in your spare time.

My first thought was to this.. blood of Jesus.. don't receive, don't like what a awful thing to say. It was said here "Yeah to be honest the epistles really condemn arguing about this stuff between believers . Calls it a subversion of the hearers." Seems fell on deaf ears.

Feel from to fall in the ditch among those on the wide path that leads to destruction.
I'll remain on the narrow path that leads to Life that the Lord Jesus spoke of, they few find

Actually we are to correct false doctrine.

They would depart from organized religion which is based on traditions of men and being carnally minded

You haven't been hearing what the Lord said in His Word?

“Actually we are to correct false doctrine.”

Yea not by arguing bickering and judging one another as heretics and not real believers when agree though are we willing also to listen to correction when we are wrong ? Do we leave any room for ourself to be wrong about something ?

…. Seems like that’s what everyone’s doing correcting the false doctrine that isn’t what they think about a subject . while arguing opposite points and accusing and name calling one another here in the Bible discussion forum. But what I had said was the Bible condemns pretty harshly arguing believers , and when they fuel division and contention. That’s factual I’m sure you can acknowledge

“ correcting false doctrine “ were meant to watch our own doctrine closely if were a teacher of doctrine for sure and called to live it before we demand others do also. Also easily verified in doctrine.

But it seems more like arguing honestly Because who’s actually the person here that’s meant to correct the others ? That just becomes another debate and argument because more than one guy thinks they are , seems like the same
Old thing to me that Paul warned about but I digress . And it is important to stick to the doctrine of Christ we agree there just a matter of the “ arguing “ that’s condemned

Also ever notice correction never really happens like that but contention grows and never really stops like that ? Usually ending in hard feelings or a split ect ?

“They would depart from organized religion which is based on traditions of men and being carnally minded”

Amen .they would start to think like the things the lord taught them to believe about God and themselves . They would hear what he has promised in the gospel and what he said about things like freedom from sin ……..John 8:31-35
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

…..and be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We’re meant to listen to Gods word in the gospel . Like you said it would change minds from carnality to spiritual and also open hearts to others in his name which is truly a central point of his doctrine . The “one another thing “

“You haven't been hearing what the Lord said in His Word?”

been trying to for a few decades yea . I was asking about a big whole group of believers all doing that together ….. what would happen .

“Actually we are to correct false doctrine.”

The reformers and the catholics can't correct false doctrine because they are so busy teaching and spreading false doctrine.

Thank you for reminding me. I know this post wasn't for me but in a way the Lord made it so. I heard what I needed for the struggle I was in. Thank you Pilgrimshope🙏

I just quoted a scripture brother ……it’s light when we need it sometimes Scripture is always a good source for god to speak to us when we need to hear it is “god breathed “after all . I’m glad you found some value though

Paul preparing Timothy to be a leader in the church after he died …..

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

yea I don’t really know the labels and I think they would say kind of the same thing about the opposing groups whichever labels they are . I don’t really know alot about Catholicism or the denominational labels but there’s definately alot of false doctrine I’m not sure every Christian’s duty is to correct false doctrine though

seems as if those called to that office of doctrinal leadership may be if they are true and not false ………good thing true doctrine is written down in the Bible ! But if every believer was always correcting every other believer how would anyone ever learn anything or maybe we’d end up with many arguing denominations within the worlds group of believers I’m not sure

i would avoid a teaching forum myself because I’m not a teacher just n old believer with too much free time

I found myself doing the same thing I was calling out. Not really sure what the post was about because I didn't make it past that verse and it was like a frying pan to the head. I knew right away why. I just needed to thank God and your post for the timing.

That is like saying fig trees can bring forth grapes if the conditions are right.
God's seed cannot bring forth the fruit of the devil.

That is a different usage of the word "seed", and doesn't apply to 1 John 3:9.
In Mark, the seed is the word of God.
In 1 John 3, seed is the genetic origination of life.

“Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth,

some an hundredfold,

some sixty,

some thirty.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Galatians were 'foolish '

The Corinthians had issues with old pagan beliefs mixing with their Christianity

The Colossians had trouble with nosticism. There is more..

Christians can bring forth bad fruit.

Obedient folks need no disciplining.
Those reborn of God's seed cannot bring forth evil fruit.
Yes I agree, but we still have alot of rotten fruit and weeds to clear to make good ground. sometimes there can be some stinkin thinkin and a bad smell. Some sometimes there are some stubborn weeds that want to sprout back up. On going repentance is important. Sanctification can be a slow process Heb. 10:14 Heb 12:1,2 Col 3:2 Phil. 1:6. Mark 4:26-32 There is a process roots take time to grow and then a little progress, and a little more tomorrow. Lam 3:22 NEW brand new. Jesus had fear and was scared in the garden praying with blood dripping from his forehead. Meekness and lowly of heart is a timid person, but on transformation mountain ALIVE and well Moses and Elijah speak with him transforming him into someone different. (maybe in my opinion the came Holy Spirit came to him and caused him to shine kinda like Moses face shone in the presence of GOD on mount. sinai ) someone Holy gave him the power and confidence to keep his mouth shut and pray for all sinners and in Rom 8:26 the Holy Spirit groans and in 34 my brother a high priest prays for us. John 17 he also prays for us. Paul also for us

Hebrew 5:6-8 6.and he saith also in another place. Thou art A Priest forever after the order (ordained)of Melchisedec. 7.Who in those days of his flesh. When he offered up much prayers and supplication with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard. In (piety) that he feared. 8. Though he was a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Jesus sinned? Cried for forgiveness? Learned to obey? Was made perfect? Was made a priest. Heb. 7:16,18-21Who is made not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.18 For there wad verily a disannulling of the commandment going before the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19. For the law made nothing perfect, but bringing in of the better hope did; by the which we draw nigh to GOD. 20. As so much as not without an oath he swae and was made priest: 21.( For those priests were made without an oath, but this is an oath by him that he said to him. THE LORD SWARE NOT TO REPENT. Thou art a priest after the order of Melchisedec. ) does it mean he was made after to follow the carnal laws ? Did that say he canceled the law? (10 commandments) to help the weak and unprofitable? The law was not perfect so come close th GOD? THEN . The Lord sware and will not repent? Does that mean we don't have a carnal law anymore and have forgiveness once for all sins forever. Kinda like the law doesn't apply to a priest. Because we are all called to be kings and priests. He said be ye perfect even as I AM perfect. Then Paul said in Rom8 I don't want to sin, I do . What a wreched man I AM. So.. what I understand is that we ask for forgiveness one time for all sins so all the sins I do are forgiven so I don't have to ask for forgiveness for the same sin. That has already been forgiven. Because I choose righteousness (like Abraham) and want to do good and obey its not me that is (still) sinning, but its the (if I may "the residue") that is in a human passed down from our fathers that remains?( Col.2:9) The fullness of the Godhead dwells in us and we are complete in him.. That Jesus complete divine essence and nature of GOD lives permanently in us. (1peter 2:9 ) 2peter1:4-10. Wow. I AM perfect even as our FATHER is PERFECT . I AM also

I just realized that I also thought it said transformation mountain ,but it is transfiguration mountain. Jesus received the divine nature the HOLY SPIRIT. 🤔

I’m not sure every Christian’s duty is to correct false doctrine though

That would mean one has no problem with others being deceived by false doctrine not even offering to help them

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Reprove generally means to correct, rebuke, or express disapproval non biblical doctrine and actions with the intent to guide them towards improvement pointing them to what God's Word teaches.

good thing true doctrine is written down in the Bible

Which the reformers and the catholics either ignore or twist.

i would avoid a teaching forum myself because I’m not a teacher just n old believer with too much free time

So when you hear of someone believing something that is not biblical, you are good with just letting them go on believing incorrectly? Would love do that and not even try to help them?

“That would mean one has no problem with others being deceived by false doctrine not even offering to help them”

What I’m saying is …..everyone thinks anyone who disagrees with them is a false teacher kind of …… seems like all teachers think they have it all worked out but so does the other teacher they are arguing with …. They think he’s a false teacher and he thinks they are

My point is you end up with circular arguments accusations of heresy that go back and forth ( not always ) but often it just goes back and forth and both people end up right where they began both knowing some truth and both being fully capable of being wrong about some things ……

we tend to think our own version is right and the other guy is a heretic . It never goes anywhere but causes a house divided .

My position is everyone should go learn from Jesus thier lord and savior by the gospel as he intended and then anyone who believes in him and does that can learn from the lord and know the truth.

So I have my own position and belief also that i believe is the correct path . I try to talk about what I believe is the right doctrine but it’s not my job or place to correct other Christian’s
i would just advise anyone who asked to go listen to the teachings and sayings and parables of Jesus in the gospel and tell them to consider what he’s saying in those sermons and parables and sayings because this always leads to truth as he reveals it to people personally .

What I meant by “ not every Christian’s job to correct every other Christian” was this

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; 1

and some, evangelists; 2

and some, pastors and teachers; 3

for the perfecting of the saints, 1

for the work of the ministry, 2

for the edifying of the body of Christ:”3

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s order whereby God gives gifts not all Christian’s are teachers and really every Christian’s should consider this part when becoming a teacher

“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”
‭‭James‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬

i mean that’s pretty straightforward I don’t think everyone is a tescher or leadership role within the body is my point . If everyone thinks they are an uncorrectable teacher then how come they all are arguing opposite things ? That’s all you have is an argument when everyone tries correcting everyone else

ago avoid false teachers we need to simply stick to Christ and his doctrine there’s a lifetimes worth of wisdom to learn from Jesus in the gospel . Anytime someone is teaching you contrary doctrine from what you yourself have learned you it’s false you’ve heard the truth already . A

Anything new you haven’t heard already shouldnt just be rejected if you don’t know the opposite already but should be checked against what Jesus and his apostles taught. If it’s in line or if it isn’t shouod be clear through prayer and carefully hearing the word regarding what the subject is

scripture corrects and trains

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it discerns the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Nothing in all creation is hidden
from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12-13

Many want to teach but how many first learn and are willing to take on the greater responsabilities ? The stricter judgements ?

I don’t think the group is meant to correct one another but the group is meant to listen to the word …..in peace not strife like the nt consistantly warns the church about

How Paul warned Timothy not to be drawn on to foolish and endless arguments about doctrines and timelines and geneologies ect and just told him to “ preach the word “

theres a difference in sharing the gospel like we all should happily do and then being the person rbe led educated by and called by god to correct a group of fellow believers . This person also adds to thier own responsability to practice what they ere preaching and be judged more harshly

One who knows and declares they know to everyone else has no excuse and is harshly beaten with many stripes . But the one who doesn’t know and declare it even when they do something wrong and worthy of harsh stripes they will receive only a few …,,,, to one who is given much much more is required “

My point is you end up with circular arguments accusations of heresy that go back and forth

That's why we should go by what God says in His Word. The Lord tells us in His Word there will be false teachers and there will be deception. Jesus even spoke of tares as being the children of the devil sent to deceive the children of God.

we tend to think our own version is right and the other guy is a heretic . It never goes anywhere but causes a house divided .

So your fix is to just allow any and all doctrine to come in?

Acts 20:27-30
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

What I meant by “ not every Christian’s job to correct every other Christian” was this

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; 1

and some, evangelists; 2

and some, pastors and teachers; 3

for the perfecting of the saints, 1

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Yes and most of them have been corrupted by satan and are teaching the darkened wisdom of man as though it were the wisdom of God leading many away from the Lord.

i mean that’s pretty straightforward I don’t think everyone is a tescher or leadership role within the body is my point

Yes and some are tasked with trying to help people learn the scriptures which puts them on a collision course with false doctrine which is based on the wisdom of carnal minded man

You did not know the enemy is deceiving people? That's what he does.

Many want to teach but how many first learn and are willing to take on the greater responsabilities ? The stricter judgements ?

Yes if one is going to teach they need to live what they teach.
