Hey everyone,
After catching a few glimpses of the Olympic Games, and then thinking back to some of the situations I've been around, whether in school, at work, or in social settings...
Why is it that so many smart, attractive, and even Christian women seem to often be at war over a man? Why are men somehow seen as trophies that women feel they must conquer and divide the masses in order to obtain the assumed prize of a man? I just hear so many women, and like I just said, even good, Christian women, cutting each other down behind one another's backs... somehow trying to set themselves up as THE woman a certain guy should be date or marry, etc. For example, have you ever heard things like, "I don't know why he's with her... she's (insert snide comment here)."
Having been someone who has been left for another woman at various points in life, I've given up trying to "compete" or prove I have something no other woman has. I just figure, hey, this is me, if that's not enough... best wishes... I don't want to hold you up, and would appreciate it if you were honest with me as well.
Am I getting it all wrong or have you observed this too?
And maybe you guys out there feel the same way, that you constantly have to battle it out to get a woman's attention?
Will the gold, silver, and bronze medalists please show yourselves...
In the meantime, I'll be at the concessions stand getting a sundae with extra whipped cream (nods to Ashton over the "shaving" thread.)
