I spent 3-1/2 years on a warship, not sitting on a beach. It was obvious that the earth was curved. As vessels appeared over the horizon, the highest point on the ship appeared first. If the earth was flat, the ship would have come into view completely, not partially. That's before you get into radar, radio and high powered telescopes. Telescopes can see into space and view planets clearly. But they cannot see over the horizon, which is why ships don't bother using them. Why are they useless? The earth is curved. This is also why ships used to have a crow's nest, a high point for visual scanning of the horizon. The higher you are, the further you can see. Irrelevant if the earth is flat.

The view from an aircraft window is too narrow to see the curve. If you had unobstructed view, you could see it. People who have been high enough in a balloon testify to the curvature of the earth. I realise that does not fit in with your theory, so you are bound to find fault. You need to be around 35,000 feet with a 60 degree view. Concord passengers could see it easily as they flew at 70,000 ft.

FE nonsense yet again. Who is saying that light curves to follow the earth? It's actually evidence that the earth curves. Light will not illuminate objects below the horizon. Some atmospheric conditions allow light to travel further. Lasers have been bounced off the moon. They could certainly illuminate any waterfront city from any other waterfront city on the earth. Except they cannot. The earth is not flat.
