I know this thread is singles DINNERS but speaking of egg... For breakfast I cooked some scrambled sausage - cook it like it was ground beef, scrambled - then scrambled some eggs in it, put the mess in a bowl and melted some sharp cheddar over it. Very good breakfast.
 
I know I posted eating dinner out of a can....But just so you know I did make a homemade apple pie from scratch.....meaning I made the pie crust it turned out flakey by the way, cut up the apples added all the spices and sugar. Rolled the pie crust out with a real rolling pin put a top crust on.... Even cut out three hearts to put on top sprinkled on a layer of sugar on top of the crust......Ask tourist what he thought of it as I made it for him....

So even though for myself I am happy with a can and an opener...When I have someone to cook for - I can really cook....some like it hot.....with vanilla ice cream....you thought I was talking about something else....nope just pie and ice cream.....

It was a beautiful presentation. Exquisite use of apple and an intriguing blend of spice. The hearts on top of the crust were delightful and the crust was flaky with a sugary coating. The ice cream was vanilla and was a perfect accompaniment. Oh yeah, it tastes good too...
 
I borrowed from J-Li's play book again... I had a can of cream style corn as a "meal"

It said "Best By 12 31 13" on the top. As yummy as it was today, I wish I'd eaten it at its peak. :)
 
Stir fry tonight - threw together marinated steak strips, red cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, cauliflower, asparagus, and an egg. SO MANY COLORS.
