If you dream you are flying, it means you are confident about the future. If you can control where you are flying, you are very confident. If you can't control where you fly, you are cautiously confident.
I've had the same dream periodically since I was a child. In fact, I just had it a few days ago. In my dream, I can fly by grabbing my knees and pulling them in close to my chest. I fly or hover only at about treetop height, but, sometimes, I'm afraid in my dream that I'm going to just drift off into outer space. In my particular case, I don't think it's even remotely related to confidence although I'm unsure what it actually does mean.

Anyway, God has spoken to me many, many times in a dream. Almost nightly. Such dreams are almost always corrective in nature in that God shows me something that I need to deal with in my heart or in a relationship with another individual that is normally related to some sort of necessary repentance or attitude adjustment on my part.

I concur with what Elihu said in the book of Job:

Job 33:14
God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

Job 33:15
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

Job 33:16
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

Job 33:17
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

I had a fairly long dream a couple nights ago, but I forgot to write it down.

All I remember was, I was following this lady in a building/home, and looking or checking for something. I wish there was more to tell, but that's it folks.

I had a dream that i was playing fetch with an 14 foot tall doberman. I knew that i was in a dream but at the same time i didn't feel like being trampled over by my own thoughts when the dog came back with the stick so i turned my back and imagined him to be normal sized and was prepared for him to be normal sized when he came back. When i turned back around again he was normal sized with the stick in his mouth and he dropped it hoping that i would pick it up and throw it again.

I do a lot of mindful thinking on how i view, treat and ready myself to react to things throughout the day so when i do dream im able sometimes to mess about and consiously change the outcomes.

REcently my family watched part of the movie Red Dawn about communist takeover in the US. Then not long after that I had a nightmare about it actually happening and people were coming to hunker down at our house. At least one of my brothers died in that dream :(. I'm not one for much violence in movies. For a long time my family hardly watched movies, then when we started to again one of the first ones I saw was the new version of Ben Hur. The chariot race scene near the end was almost too much.

I do that too sometimes.

Do you ever get annoyed when it doesn't work? Sometimes I try to will something to change in my dream, knowing it is a dream, but it does not change. I get so frustrated.

I don't get too annoyed about it, the hardest part is being self aware enough to intentionally imagine different to shape the world im in. A lot of times it's just easier to fall back into the mindset of being the minds passenger though.

Yeah it is hard to manifest things into a dream if you know it's a dream especially if your trying to get something you desire into there. What i have found for myself is that i can only bring myself and the things i have said and imagine throughout the day inside. It's like if i go around calling and treating everything abundant throughout the day and i choose to see the abundance in things that's what i am in my dream, i am my perspective, and those things that do manifest are just evidences of me. Developing something like that takes time and practice though. I have a friend who does something similar to where he will flip through things like books imagining each page is 100 dollar bills, or he will just stare out over a field of grass imaging each blade of grass is gold coins or diamonds. Because he does this on such a constant basis his dreams are always of money, gold, diamonds.

Sounds like that would be depressing when you wake up... :p All that money vanishing in a puff of morning sun.

I don't do any mental exercises or anything to make lucid dreaming happen. It's just something that sometimes happens.

Who knows you could be like those new age law of attraction guru guys and manifest it, it doesn't have to go puff in the sunlight. I can see it now, you could have your own Youtube channel called "lynxtheguru", your own books and podcast on the topic, your own manbun, just think of the possibilities lol.

All sounds good except the manbun. Too much upkeep. I just give myself a buzz cut every two or three months.

Can I do it without the hairdo?

Nope, no manbun = no subscribers they wont think you're guru enough without it lol. I didn't really answer you before about the mental work that i do but most of it is to overcome doubt and unbelief. When i was sick and not really believing scripture about being healed i had to work on my mind and imaginations to be open to recieve it and after a while i got it. Lucid dreaming just came as a byproduct of being more mindful throughout the day and that mindset kindof just carries over into sleep.

I find dreams fascinating, there was this guy I used to watched called John Paul Jackson, who said he can interrupt dreams, but not sure how true it was.
You mean "interpret" right? I was given a dream journal by that author around age 11 or 12. Perhaps it was indeed a "God gift" because it really did help me to focus on the details of a dream and aided my recall ability.

It changed how I recorded dreams whereas before it was like massive text walls.

I didn't focus on any of the interpretation stuff or what he said was important (other than the framework) or at least that stuff didn't sink in "too" much.

I can imagine that maybe the Lord really did impress my parents to get it for me because I did need a bit of instruction/discipline there. It makes sense that it'd be someone that has some experience with it. Each one is like a story and I learned to write a story board :)

I can share what's in the book if anyone is interested. A little structure when writing/typing out your dreams (or even sketching) is useful with later recall. Especially if you think it's a God dream.

Sorry but I have to stick to my guns on this. The "no man bun" is my filter. It's the way I know any followers actually want to hear what I'm saying. If I used a man bun I'd attract all the mindless zombies who gravitate to anything guru-ish and start insane arguments with each other in the comments.

So, I was thinking about my dream here the other day, and was wondering about the meaning of it.

Could it be the lady I was following was a real estate agent, and she was showing me a home, and we were both inspecting it?!?!

Well, it's possible.

Anybody have dreams come true?

One time I had a dream that my friend was expecting and I told her about it the next day. She said, well that's just a dream as far as I know! Then she called a week or two later to tell me my dream came true.
