And we(including me) have visions of grandeur in this. But it's about loving your wife as Christ would. Loving your friends and enemies as Christ would. Raising your family as the Lord would. Solving everyday problems with His ways/doctrines.
Mental attitude(His mind) in all we do is key. The little ole house wife, whom we have never heard of, may be more influential in His kingdom than a world renowned preacher.
It takes discernment to know who has discernment.
It takes the Holy Spirit's guidance to be true.
That is why we must test the spirits (with knowledge of sound doctrine) because there is more than one spirit
out there wanting to lead us. Too many are led by their emotions, and mistaking it for spirituality.
The fact that some will find it? Means it is real and humanly possible by grace
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads
to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road
that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14
"Destruction" does not mean going to Hell. It means there will be believers who end up being self-destructive becauyse of how and what they choose to believe.
They are mistakengly living for God as if God thinks like they do.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8
Their chosen voice to listen to is the one that agrees with how they see things...
That is why we are warned.....
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
But, they do it anyway!
For, they lean upon their own understanding.
Their own understanding?
There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12
The fact that some make it and 'find it', proves that God has laid it out his plan for mankind to follow. In the mean while... He weeds out his garden by allowing for free will to reign and having them to self destruct.
Someday we are all going to realize how simple God made it for us.

Some of the classified Church Fathers were Disciples of the Apostle John.
One would think if the Bible completed was the Perfect to Come that John's Disciples would have been instructed since John wrote the last Book...j/s
Yes! That had to take place in the pioneering days of clearing the way for the church to be established!
When Christianity first started? They did not even have NT Scriptures!

Am I to understand that you go through the Bible and pick and choose what you want to keep and what you want to throw away?
I am beginning to think you make up your doctrine as it pleases you.
I am a Disciple of Yeshua.
Whatever He claimed I should do that's what I do.

It's not difficult to know for yourself but then you will have to face the facts once you research.

Let me use a middle/high/college school sport that I think describes hope in God.
All throughout the Torah we see where the people that Moses led into battle typically were outnumbered or were stronger even more skilled than the Hebrew people. But God always pulled them to victory when they were truly following God.
The sport of wrestling is similar. You can be dominated for the 5 minutes and 50 seconds, down in points by a great margin, but if you can some how get your opponent on their back to the place where both shoulder blades touch the mat in the final 10 seconds. You not only erase that big lead in points against you but securing a pin gives you automatically the win.
I see everything in the Bible as for my own life. I don't pick and choose which areas I like and dislike but I believe if God did it then He will do it for me because He claimed through the Holy Spirit of God that He is the SAME then, now, and forever.

SImple you're not "Given" anything. you'r simply EMPOWERED temporarily at the Holy Spirit's choosing, when the situation requires it. "Tongues" in the "Message in tongues" sense is completely "temporary", just like Prophesy, or interpretation. I have interpreted many times, but in and of myself I couldn't if you held a gun to my head. The HOLY SPIRIT has the "Gifts", and he empowers people to manifest them WHEN HE PLEASES.
I am not sure how long I was on the floor but yes my foot was healed and after that event God has been much more active with me I am in his presence more often and he has been giving me more dreams lately too since then he normally rarely gives me dreams but it has been more active lately some of them he allowed me to speak with my deceased grandpaHello Blain,

Tell us how long were you on the floor... what happened when you got up off the floor.... was your foot completely healed? Were you changed in any way? Have you noticed anything different about yourself? God's touch changes us.... He imparts something in us... which is usually for others... yet, a blessing to us, too.
